@gruber Do you mind if I quote one of your posts on my website? It’s perfect for explaining the raison d'etre of my app, but wanted to check before promoting this marketing page

@gruber @mjtsai Normally don’t do this, but I feel like your audiences might appreciate this post, especially with all the App Store talk lately

I’ve never understood C-suite gripes about WFH because it’s easy to judge when you measure outputs.

“Is this developer dicking around all day” can be answered by whether they regularly produce high-quality PRs, code reviews, answers for POs, etc

“Management, for example, is shifting from input metrics–do you show up?–to output metrics–did the work get done?”

Gonna make a thread with the rest of what I've been reading.

Also highly recommend “Super Pumped: The Battle for Uber" by Mike Isaac. It’s the best account of Uber's crazy years you can get short of working there. Many, many lessons about how and how not to run a tech business. 😅

Just finished one of the creepiest, most disturbing books I've ever read - And Then I Woke Up by Malcolm Devlin.

TLDR what if social media broke our brains so badly the real zombie outbreak was people *believing* there was a zombie outbreak.

Best QAnon book that's not directly about QAnon

Also lol at Joz’s face when he says “8 years”

Mike Rockwell, discussing the name Vision Pro on The Talk Show Live with @gruber: “All I’ve been saying is code names for the last 8 years.”

Guess that’s how long the headset has been in the works?
