So one question I have, is that personally I like
do not feel mentally ready or even clocked in for vaginoplasty surgery
I know it's coming, and I'm preparing my materials
But mentally I'm just not like. really anxious or feeling anything

If anything I feel horrified at the thought of going under, and at the thought of seeing things during the healing phases (given I really dislike seeing visible "body horror" stuff/blood/injuries and such, in media etc), so maybe I'm just blocking it out?

Just curious if anyone else has felt this before their surgery, whether for masc or femme surgeries.

Do not donate a penny to Wikimedia until the union is recognized

[Edit to add: If you are pausing donations, as I am, one thing you can do is email them at donate@wikimedia.org to let them know why.]

[Edit 2: here is what the union is asking for instead of pausing donations https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wiki_Workers_United#Solidarity . That said financial support is how I support Wikipedia, so I'm still going the financial route for putting pressure on the organization.]

However, it seems (to me at least) that the policy still leaves space for AI generated code to be submitted, and instead is just denying agents interacting with the project...

yt-dlp has now added an explicit "No AI / No LLM policy" notice to their repo and Contributing guidelines.

The opening paragraph:

This project strictly forbids the usage of LLMs, agents, or any other AI tools for any kind of contribution.

ok so GRS in Montreal called me with a vaginoplasty surgery date and im freaking out so if any trans folks have had surgeries there from Dr Brassard or Dr Shine, please comment with your feedback and how things have gone afterwards, because some of the reviews I've seen around the internet have me a bit concerned

As a tall masc/butch leaning trans woman, how do I:

• Respect myself and recognize that I'm both worth something, and am allowed to take up space

• Stand up for myself when misgendered or misidentified, without it feeling diminutive, pointless and/or tiresome; and or without drawing risk of physical harm

If social media was banned when I was a teen, I genuinely just think we would've found other non-SNS methods of chatting, connecting, and sharing tbh.

Anyone have anti Ring informational posters I can drop in mailboxes whenever I see someone with one of those panopticons here?

Also forgot:

• negative pcr test for flu and covid
• negative bacterial infection in blood
• negative for inflammation in blood
• no respiratory issues at all
• no coughing no runny nose
• timing of symptoms is too conincidental with stopping of spiro
• i mask everywhere I go outside/with anyone outside the home, and have not seen anyone in general recently.

Unless it's the common cold, which doesn't make sense as my partner is fully healthy and has pre-existing conditions, my entire bet is it being the spiro.

There are numerous other transfems online who report similar symptoms too...

I think unfortunately, there just is not enough research around this with regards to trans individuals......

Okay, so I'm using voice to text right now and I need to stress how absolutely shit I feel. I have been off spironolactone for about 1.5 weeks at this point. For the last three to four days I have had the craziest fevers from 37-39c.

This is just a warning for anyone who is transitioning MTF who may be on spiro, that when you stop taking spiro (no matter how much) you may feel some symptoms.

2 weeks ago I tapered off at 25mg. I was having extremely bad back pain for at least a week. It seems to have subsided and has diminished now.

But I'm currently having lower back pain, crazy fevers, chills, inability to regulate temperature in a bedroom, sweating like mad.

I'm also very anxious about my stomach because I've been taking Tylenol, acetaminophen, on and off about a week, and I'm anxious about stomach ulcers or stomach bleeding.

At publishing of this post, I am laying down in bed with back pain having taken 1mg of acetaminophen. I am sweating like crazy, I am wearing wool almost everywhere on my body, and my bed has a wool topper, which is all very good for moisture abd moisture retention avoidance, but this is not sustainable.

I think in general this post is more so just a rant. I want to do a proper blog post in a bit once I actually feel good, to document my entire process, because I don't know how long this is going to last. Online I've seen reports anywhere from one week to one month, and it's already been something like 1.5 weeks off it completely, so I don't know...

If there are any transfems or individuals who are transitioning MTF who have experienced similar symptoms, please reply and let me know how long they lasted for you.
I'm extremely curious to know as I try to determine how long I will continue to be suffering. Thank you so much.
