A buddy of mine works at a place where they did the "please! use as many llm tokes as you can!" to "oh shit this is way more expensive than the people and services we thought it was going to replace" speedrun in just a couple of months.

Their suggestion for reducing token use? "Ask Claude how you can use fewer tokens."

Genuinely underrated genre of image: someone's pet gets onto a wargame board and it looks like a fluffy kaiju chilling in the middle of a raging battlefield

"Aura farming" but it's a bunch of lucario playing stardew valley

Please be sure not to accidentally commit genocide when using an AI to disguise your plagiarism by replacing words with synonyms.

Do not donate a penny to Wikimedia until the union is recognized

[Edit to add: If you are pausing donations, as I am, one thing you can do is email them at donate@wikimedia.org to let them know why.]

[Edit 2: here is what the union is asking for instead of pausing donations https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wiki_Workers_United#Solidarity . That said financial support is how I support Wikipedia, so I'm still going the financial route for putting pressure on the organization.]

Also sora is officially dead now

Heartbreaking: the statue everybody uses to represent Ea-Nasir in memes is actually a thousand years older than Ea-Nasir himself

Guy who thinks I'm not aro because I like a game based on the romance of the three kingdoms

I will not reply. Replying is the mind killer. Replying is the little death that brings total obliteration. I will face the dipshit. I will permit them to pass over me and through me. And when they have gone past, I will turn the inner eye to see their path. Where the dipshit has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Why do Americans call each other "pal"? Shouldn't they be addressing their friends as "ntsc" instead?
