It turns out that all the Old People who go and hang out at Garden Centres on a Sunday are onto something.
(okay, so I have been a fan of garden centres since I was in my late teens, but the principle still stands.)

I've got a couple of new things up on my other account, if you don't already follow me on there. @CrumpledEphemera
It's raining so hard here in northwest England, that all the plants and flowers in the garden are in constant movement as the drops hit the leaves and petals. The Coneflower petals are moving like piano keys under fingers and it's mesmerising. The only leaves seemingly unaffected are the huge sunflower leaves. The rain is running off them in tiny streams but they're too big to move otherwise. The sunflowers look like they're hiding under their own leaves like sad commuters under umbrellas. 🌂
Today's adventure is having a Myocardial Perfusion Scan. The worst aspect of the prep for this is no caffeine. I am having a sad morning :blobcat_bigsob:
If I have the spoons, I'll report back this afternoon, but only after drinking a gallon of tea. :blobcatcoffee:
I've had 3 days of some really terrible pain, the kind that landed me in A & E for 6 hours last month. At least I have the prescription painkillers and a TENS machine to help now, and that's made a big difference.
The pain level dropped enough for me to sleep a little better last night & is only making me wince a bit today. However, despite the pain being almost gone, I am so exhausted and depressed.
Unfortunately, this is probably going to keep happening, along with most of the other chronic conditions getting worse as I age. I've largely accepted that fact, but it's been causing me a lot of grief because it's clear that certain parts of my life are over and having to face that sucks.
I really need to pull myself together and start therapy again, so this gloom doesn't take over everything, and spoil what I do have.
Do any of the other #MEcfs folks get piteachial bruising? It keeps showing up on my arms, and I can't work out why.
Ever seen a #cat chase his own tail? And fall over because he was chasing so hard? Now you have. #catsofmastodon
I love #PortfolioDay on fedi. It's so great to see other people's incredible work! It makes me so happy to see the wonderful things that people can make.
I don't really have a portfolio to share as such (I'm not in a position to be an artist who creates to make an income)
However, if you would like to see my art, it's all tagged under #BadArt . That includes the older work I've posted on this account and my newer creations live on my other account at CrumpledEphemera@bark.lgbtq
I do occasionally give away some of my smaller pieces, so if you keep an eye out, I might have more work up soon.

I saw a frog in the garden. An actual real frog 🐸
I didn't get their name, but I'll ask next time.
Aside from a brief moment of shallow satisfaction that Starmer has gone, I can't get excited about this at all.
I am An Old and whoever is PM has made very little difference with few exceptions. I just look forward to updating my filters and continuing to ignore the Cabinet, lest I get a visit from Prevent cops because I've been fed posting against named people.
I really need to stop listening to UK politics news, but one of these days, I'm gonna start fed posting about named members of the British government. :guillotine:
Hey, hey everybody! Did you know that if you're feeling a bit down, you can just go on the Internet and look at pictures of #dogs ?
It's free, and no one can stop you. :shibacool:
Trying to work out a decent diet when you're t2 diabetic, newly diagnosed with coeliac disease, and have a history of disordered eating is a full-time job.
Fortunately, I have lots of support from family & friends, but even so, I am exhausted right now.
I do get free bread, so there is that, I guess.
What's the name of feeling you get when you're diagnosed with another two chronic conditions ? (Especially when you're told the one of them is probably going to be what ends you).
I am not kidding when I say that brings the number up to eight. Do I get a certificate if I can get to ten? A prize? Maybe a gift card for a free funeral? :blob_thinkingfast:

Being a huge fan of Queen Coke Francis on YT, I saw they were asking for this fundraiser to be shared.
