Recipe Book recommendations:

• Mark Bittman's "How to Cook Everything: The Basics". I literally got this book for free at a grad residence and it is so helpful. I make the chili from it regularly.
• Ottolenghi's "Simple". The baked cauliflower recipe is easy and high reward. Also see "Plenty" for more vegetarian recipes.

• Joy of Cooking: Actually there's too much in that book, but you can find some good recipes in it and just copy whatever you like. Good reference though. I don't have it, usually I just borrow it from someone to look up something and write the recipe down. It's literally everywhere around here.
• Smitten Kitchen cookbooks: Recipes from the blog but offline! (Also the blog is a good source for stuff)
• Dorie Greenspan's books are pretty good too. But if nothing else, you can find online her custard tart recipe

any recommendations would be appreciated

Getting my slides ready for this week's talk at @programming_conference !

real question, why would people want to use systems programming language for web development? why would ANYONE want a go framework? a C web framework? a rust web framework?

by all means a web browser in rust, but I can't see the appeal of this.... hopefully somebody disagrees strongly and can provide an argument

because to me it sounds as insane as saying "you know what I will develop a Rocq web framework from scratch just so I can publish my blog!!!"
