I took my Nokia #N900 from the drawer and put latest #Maemo #Leste on sdcard. It has some quirks to overcome at start, but it works quite fine. I've bought a new replacement battery, so it now keeps running for a long time.

I installed wireguard on it and can use SSH to log in to my devices. The dillo browser is not able to render websites correctly, but also it's amazing when it shows only relevant parts and cuts all the crap. Email is timeless, so it just works. Syncevolution is unfortunately currently broken (can't install; broken dependencies).

A real pocket computer. It has aged like a fine wine :blobmiou:

More interestingly, they are correct during entering FDE password and on login screen (I use plasma desktop).

Updated #postmarketos to 26.06 on my librem5. Now red and blue colors are swapped. :blobcat0_0:

Is there a #linux distro, that is easy for "normal" people (like mint), comes with multimedia codecs (like mint), but uses #KDE by default?

You made a video about cars crashing into buildings. But have you seen a tram? https://bydgoszcz.tvp.pl/85051113/wypadek-tramwaju-w-bydgoszczy-wideo

For #ilovefs I wanted to say "Thank you" to some project, that is probably underappreciated, is usually invisible working somewhere in the background, makes no drama, but probably plays a very important role.

Thank you irqbalance! I have no idea why are you there. But you're always silently sitting in the back of my system. Taking care of stuff. Thank you.

Just a regular reminder for you to check your backups.
It's not fun to find after a disaster, that sql backups contain only a short message "mysqldump command not found", because mariadb has stopped shipping mysql aliases in docker images.

Are editor wars still a thing?

#vim #emacs

After years of hard procrastination and putting off I have finally installed monitoring for my #linux home server.

To make it independent from the server itself, it's running in LXC on the router. #openwrt FTW!

I went with #munin , because it feels much lighter than prometheus + node_exporter + grafana. I also have experience writing custom plugins

This happened. It's reported: https://github.com/binwiederhier/ntfy-android/issues/90

#android #ntfy #UnifiedPush

I received a package. Clearly an attempt was made.

May I get some help with #postmarketos ?

I tried to play around with the original #Jolla Phone https://wiki.postmarketos.org/wiki/Jolla_Phone_(jolla-sbj)

First it failed to even build, so I took some time to update the kernel package: https://gitlab.com/postmarketOS/pmaports/-/merge_requests/5311/

Now I can't boot it. I followed the instruction, I managed to unlock the bootloader. When I run "pmbootstrap flasher boot [...]", the screen shows pmOS logo for a moment and then turns black. No usb network connection comes up. Nothing.

How can I push this forward?
