I see people talking about friends from ten years ago, and it makes me realize that I just don't know how to make or keep friendships. I don't think there is anyone I talked to five years ago who still thinks of me at all apart from the ex I have kids with. Much less people I still have any connection with. And it is hard for me to have hope that this will feel any different five years from now.
Why am I dressed my most professional on a day I'm not even in the office?
Actually, I'll ask Fedi's advice here. What would you recommend for a bright 11-year-old who is interested in chemistry and ready to go beyond baking soda and vinegar experiments? They've expressed curiosity about the periodic table and why it is the way it is. They are very good at soaking up and remembering facts, but their reading is a little shaky.
So my 11-year-old is asking for college chemistry textbooks now...
Happy Coming Out Day!
Five and a half years ago, I came out as
- trans
- lesbian
- polyam
all at once.
Somewhere along the way, some kind of ace started creeping into my outs as well.
Feeling cute in this dress, maybe a little cosmic witch-y.
Compliments are, as always, extremely welcome 🤭
Hey, fedi, I need some #soup inspiration. My mom gave me like 12 cups of turkey broth she made, and I've got a ziploc-and-a-half of veggie scraps in the freezer that wants to be made into more broth. How can I use all of this up?
Good morning, fedi
Good morning, fedi!

I did see some bisexual lighting in the western sky
The sunrise was making some very pretty colors this morning. Unfortunately, I couldn't get an unobscured view of the sky in time to see well.
Good morning, creatures of fedi
Sexiest thing about a mimic?
Hey, fedi, any advice on a tablet input device? I use Linux, and I mainly do art in Krita, Aseprite, Blender, and Inkscape. I've already had one person suggest I just get an iPad for drawing and leave it at that, but I'm not so sure about that idea. But other than that, I really have no idea what is out there or what is worth looking into.
