Nobel winner Paul Krugman, one of the signers, alerted his followers to the most important aspect of the billionaire tax a few months ago.

It's a tax on wealth, not income, and would be one of the world's first, a precedent that could spread and make them pay up worldwide. Thats why they're in such a panic.

Be sure to vote "yes" on 40, and "no" on 41 and 42, red herrings designed to neutralize 40.

Our family has its own "Circle of Life" history with the cats we have known, loved, and cared for over the years.

Celeste was the first, from the no-kill Tree House shelter in Chicago in 1998. She had a long and happy life. When she passed soon after we moved from Florida to California, Jellybean came to us as a kitten from Whiskers, Tails, and Ferals in Napa in 2013. Now, 13 years later, baby Kate curls up with her for the first time.

Not to be left out, Emmy is doing the snoozing paw-over-face pike position on my lap. Meanwhile, Bob has shifted to the paw under chin ankle hold.

Another day with kittens. Bob, like every orange boy I've known, is very affectionate. Just to make sure of me, he fell asleep holding my ankle.

Architect Paul WIlliams is beloved in the greater Palm Springs area and across Los Angeles. Because he was Black, he did not always get the recognition he deserved in his own lifetime.

Caturday cocktail hour with kittens. It's been 12 years since there was a kitten in the house. They're rambunctious, but like all cats, perfect angels when they grace their humans with their warmth and trust.
