I just had a dangerous idea: a DuskOS/CollapseOS-like OS Platform but using a form of #3Code instead of #Forth! (cc. @bigzaphod ) #Esolang #DuskOS #OperatingSystem

Which poll option will get the most votes

@ghalfacree
Regarding your article on the Olimex Neo6502kbd, I notice you pass on the manufacturer's claim that it runs "CP/M", but I thought CP/M wouldn't run on a 6502 machine without a Z80 or 8080 (or 8085) coprocessor?

Weirdly, the tests of the emergency alert system never showed up on my phone, but the wildfire one today did?! #UKEmergencyAlert

I don't want to be a grass etc., but we're in a drought so a hosepipe ban has been issued and my next-door neighbours have had their lawn sprinklers on constantly for the last week! On the one hand, I don't want to dob them in, but on the other, it's really unfair to waste our local resources... #UKDrought #UKHeatwave

I wanted to try out #SmolFedi through #Dillo for my other account for the #OldComputerChallenge, but after jumping through insane hoops to log in (the version of Dillo on this PC doesn't like the Masto security thing, so I had to email links to myself to pull up on my phone), I found that any action causes the thing to just log out again; so I've given up...

So the Tory leader of Westminster council thinks the pro-Palestine march is at risk of racist incidents and should be banned, but is perfectly fine with the openly racist extreme far-right "Unite the Kingdom" march going ahead... They really have drunk the neoNazi poison, haven't they! #BBCNews #UKPol

The "Letting an #AI agent loose on your production database and being surprised when it gets deleted" #news story reminded me of this, amazingly prescient satirical idea I read about in circa 2007 (and later tried to implement myself for a laugh): https://www.dangermouse.net/esoteric/petrovich.html

(Note that while the article says it was last updated in 2015, it originally dates from about 2004 IIRC...)

WTF Kier Starmer?! The US and Israel start an illegal war, most of the world condemns it and, after thinking about it for a day, you let them bomb people from British bases, shortly after they destroy a school taking out nearly 200 children! I despair! #ukpol #worldpol #war #IranWar

@grunfink
Hi, are there any plans to handle cross-instance reports, such as the way #Mastodon uses the "flag" activity? https://docs.joinmastodon.org/spec/activitypub/#Flag

The hardest problem in Computer Science is doing your job while your neighbors are being abucted by masked thugs and executed in the street

Reminder to anyone possibly visiting soon, keep an eye on water glasses at my house because we have a fluffy cat that only drinks like this. #cats #catsofmastodon

Error: Password does not spark joy.

I'd just like to remind everyone that each week approximately 23% of Americans take acetaminophen, so if it really caused autism, we'd have a way more functional train system in this country.

Anyone think this attack on #paracetamol/#acetaminophen is part of trying to get women to give birth without pain relief, as part of a continuation of that "tradwife" trend the right wingers love so much?

I wonder whether the exact day chosen for Trump's arrival in the UK was chosen so the King (or Starmer, but he probably wouldn't have the guts) could phone him last week to arrange final preparations and end the call with "See You Next Tuesday"? #StateVisit

@solene
Sorry to bother you, just wanted to make sure you knew that something had gone wrong with your gemlog and it's appearing as empty. Sorry if you already knew this.

Question for developers/licence lawyers: do the #PHP include() or require() functions count as external linking of a library with regards to the #LGPL (Lesser Gnu Public Licence) and its more permissive terms, or so I still have to publish the rest of the project?

Now they're talking about the far-right being the dominant party at the next election. Reminder: they are among the smallest and have the same representation as the Greens, who have far more relevance in today's world (the far-right are mostly climate-change deniers)!

Rather annoyed at #Newsnight tonight. They're talking about which party leaders have done the best since the election and they're only talking about 4 parties: the three biggest (fine, I can see the reason for that) and the far-right, who only have 4 seats, exactly the same number as the Greens, who are being ignored once again! *Sigh*

And guess which of the parties has the noisy excitement about it from the panel? 🙄
