@rl_dane I finally cleaned up and made available my Mastodon client scripts - I recall you being interested in them? https://codeberg.org/dheadshot/TinyToot-Ash
@tom79 @Gargron Sorry to bother you two, but I can't see how to retrieve a list of statuses with a hashtag from the Mastodon REST API. If I use v2 search, it doesn't work with my instance because the ElasticSearch is disabled, but I can do it from #Fedilab with no issues (hence why I'm tagging you Tom). Either of you have a suggestion?
@m15o Just wanted to let you know that it looks like the certificate on https://smol.pub/ has expired and there hasn't been another one issued from Let's Encrypt... I can still post using `curl -k`, but it may be harder for others to read.
@permacomputer Did you see this, for your BASIC collections? https://www.theregister.com/offbeat/2026/05/08/vi-clone-written-in-basic-proves-old-habits-wq-hard/5235594
@neauoire
There's an ambiguity in your latest newsletter where you say you "row" every morning: do you mean you row ashore, or are you saying you row as a couple? (I'm hoping the former...)

@foone
(I'm putting this in it's own post for tidiness). Sorry to bother you, but I thought you'd want to know that in your résumé page on your (new) wiki, you misspell the domain name of your Mastodon handle (digipres.club → digipress.club) in the contact section, so it's possible potential employers could contact the wrong address?
@grunfink Hi, sorry to bother you, I can't remember from last time I did this. Where does snac2 look for its signing certificates? I just turned on my install for the first time this year and it's getting cert errors: I think I need to update whatever certificate it's using. Pretty sure I've had to do this before, but I can't remember how I did it and my notes are no help...
@rl_dane
I was looking at IRC clients on Fdroid (as you do) when I spotted the 8VIm keyboard: VIm keys on a phone - looks like your kind of thing!
Oh #FFS! Trying to install #Offpunk and the #Python #Cryptography library requires #Rust now. So I install Rust and nothing works... Turns out the whole of the Rust ecosystem is dependent upon one server which is currently down and as such I can't do anything Rust related until they fix it, which means Python is also stuffed in the meantime! #IHateRust
@mirlo
Hi, sorry to bother you, but on https://mirlo.space/pages/about you say to "upvote in [your] feature tracker" the issue for selling individual tracks, but the issue is closed saying its been implemented. Is the About page out of date or has the issue been closed prematurely?
Here's the document release you were waiting for today!
The UNIX V4 tape!

@conniptions
Are you going to be streaming tonight and if so what time? 9pm like before?

While cleaning a storage room, our staff found this tape containing #UNIX v4 from Bell Labs, circa 1973
Apparently no other complete copies are known to exist: https://gunkies.org/wiki/UNIX_Fourth_Edition
We have arranged to deliver it to the Computer History Museum
