The kid still can't go to school properly. This consumes all the energy I have. I'm with him in school until about 10:15 am. 30 minutes on bike back home. Than I can start work until late afternoon. Clean flat, prepare food, groceries, dinner, some sleep and the same next day. I'm drained.
A few days ago some developer mentioned in their YouTube video an aspect of AI I hadn't in mind yet: Feature bloat.
If a bad feature just costs a few tokens (and you ignore that every added line is a liability), all the software will be packed with features no one asked for.
How many fiction books do you read each year (on avarage)?
How do you find new people to follow on Mastodon?
We have destroyed earth as a place for humans to live. Thus I try to live now. I try not to care even about the next year. But at the same time I make sure not to participate in destroying a human supporting planet more than I have to.
Life is a gift.
A few days ago I moved an old domain to another registrar. I guess I setup everything correctly but the dig command can't find the MX record. The space is hosted by uberspace the domain registrar is inwx.
Has anyone of you an idea what could be the problem?
My first Pebble arrived on Friday. I love it.
I have a new job. Finally I will be able to work with @treboc. We've been talking about that for years now.
Why I hate AI (and you should too)
My third watch face for Pebble. And I even haven't got my Pebble yet. :D
On a scale of 1 to 10, how stupid is it to rebuild my Blog using plain html instead of Jekyll?
Software developers: Are you currently asked by your employer to use AI to code faster?
Ich habe heute mit 2800 Leuten zusammen gefordert, dass verfassungsfeindliche Parteien geprüft werden.
Und du?
Are there any companies* these days not forcing their employees adding AI slop to their iOS app? And do they need an iOS developer? Asking for a friend.
*hiring for remote positions
You can win a new Pebble by building a new watch face or watch app. Or even by liking existing ones.
I just saw a job ad for a position for a Smalltalk developer. It even is not far from where I live. But it's an on-site position. If it was remote, I would consider applying. Smalltalk looks like a better Objective-C to me.
Made a friend today
