Next crochet throw in the queue. This one's for a dear friend...she picked out the yarn color. This type of yarn is fun..."Puzzle" yarn from Premier Yarn Company in NC. Yields a neat variegated pattern without having to change skeins.

The sign I waved at today's No Kings protest in Florida. Good turnout, considering the rainy weather.

And I thought that I was a Minion fan...a friend in a neighboring city just sent me these photos of a yard in her neighborhood. Now THIS is a Minion assembly!

Voted! Yay!! 🗳️ ⚖️ 🗽 🥳
Couple batches of get out the vote postcards sent to Maine today. 💙
Recently completed my first "Pumpkin Spice Throw." Super soft and squishy. 🧶
Received this cool photo today from a sibling in WA State who wanted to convey how large a tree stump was that she encountered on a hike...she leaned her walking stick against it for perspective. Gorgeous! 🥾 🌲

On a positive note, there's a beautiful post-heavy rainstorm pinkish-orange hue outside now. 🩷🧡🤍
It's really disappointing how degraded our local weather forecasting system has become. I buzzed over to my sister's house around corner to feed her kitties, and my phone went off with an emergency tornado warning (not watch) to take shelter now and displayed a popup window with details. Before I could get my glasses on to read it, it disappeared...about 5 secs max. Searched multiple apps and websites, and finally found one with current status. I'm safe, but this is not cool.
Halloween has officially begun in my neighborhood...a neighbor put up these inflatables today. I get maybe the 1st of October, but the 1st of September may be a little overboard.😆
Reminder to those that live in #seattle: if you don’t trust the food chain these days, we have a fantastic local grocery store/CSA run by my good friend Amber. She will sell you meat and vegetables at essentially the same price as the grocery store and she will talk your ear off any day about who supplies it. Support the local food chain so it’s there when you need to depend on it!! https://local-yokels.com/

In my County. They didn't even fire him...they let him resign.
"Fultz had posed for pictures as Adolf Hitler, freely used racial slurs in texts, masturbated on camera in his police vehicle, took pictures of his ex-girlfriend with his service weapon in her mouth during sex, repeatedly broke the law to generate clout online for his motorcycle themed Instagram and TikTok accounts, and used Flock to stalk his ex-girlfriend."
Also shot and killed a person he claimed was charging him with a knife.
A few cheery photos from my back porch.
My first attempt preparing Panzanella salad. I like my bread chunks big, and with the crust on. Was quite tasty! Need to practice slicing red onion thinner though. Couldn't get alt-text to behave: A plate of Panzanella salad made with bread chunks, small tomatoes, sliced mini cucumbers, sliced red onions, and fresh basil. Dressing made of olive oil, red wine vinegar, dijon mustard, garlic, salt, and pepper.
Thanks to a toot by @CiaraNi, I placed my first order for a book from a cool family-run bookstore in Ireland...Kennys (https://www.kennys.ie/about-us). A book written by a fellow McCarthy clan member who has passed, but his humor lives on...Pete McCarthy. I made a mistake in my shipping address 😟, and didn't realize it until after I placed the order online. I emailed them apologizing, and asking if my blunder could be resolved. They quickly responded, and said they'd fixed the error. 🆒
Makes me smile when a friend texts me a photo of their "I Voted" sticker. This one is from Brevard County, Florida, US.

A photo of a fallen stem of leaves my sister sent me today from WA State. She said when she saw it, she thought I'd like it. She gets me...I'm lucky. 🍃
