I mean I love me some goat or sheep or cow cheese, but I bought this “Isle Of Man” cheese at the store today and it scanned like this.
Ew.

I mean we’ve all heard their one song MORE than enough times in our lives, so no loss there, but man I really liked this mug that we got in Glasgow in 2019.
Oh well, transphobes suck.

I call the dirty dishes I find in the sink every morning “Fuck You Dishes.” Because I imagine people saying “fuck you, Dad” as they dump them in there, laughing to themselves about me having to clean them.
I may be centering myself a bit in this scenario.

Crazy Toronto weather last night.
This was before the rain got horizontal and the power went out, water started pouring into the basement and trees started coming down on the street. Drying out today!

Everyone has been so amazing on #NhamFest26 so far.
A wave of fear has come over me.

NOOOOOOO
stop dying, cool people

This Wed/Thurs is #NhamFest26!
24 hours of music and visuals from the vast creative wonderland of the Fediverse!
On Thursday the 27th @ 22:00 UTC, 6pm Toronto time, it’s me, bgm (he/him) and my awesome son George (they/them) singing Canadian originals that skew sort of dirty-folk? a bit messy pop? Lotsa harmonies and guitars. And a few covers. I’m suspending my tariffs on U.S. folks for just this hour so they can enjoy my music also. But then they’re right back. Sorry.

Feel so sneaky slipping onto the @TIBtv livestream to test my connection. So nefarious. Like it should be illegal. Gonna take over the airwaves and spread my propaganda.

Just reposting this old cover I did, mostly because the video has our old dog, Yoko, (RIP) who we miss, sleepin’ by the fire while I recorded it. It’s an old country tune made famous by Gene Pitney and George Jones but my cover is more by way of Gram and Emmylou.

‘Night everyone, from air-quality 11.
Thinking of all the people who have lost their homes. Entire communities, gone, not too far from here.
Hope we can fucking breathe tomorrow.

Hope this isn’t too “there’s a massive environment crisis LOOK AT ME”
Just playin’ guitar. Don’t know what else to do.

Half of the province is literally on fire and the Prime Minister is out there selling pipelines and scrapping environmental protections. We are unbelievably lucky to be out of the city this week which is simultaneously so nice and rather terrifying as everything is orange and smokey and very hot. I’m outside alternating with worrying and trying to brush up on my very rusty fingerpicking. Stay cool and safe everyone.

Sometimes even the most unlikely folks can become friends if they have something in common.

If I were to get a relatively cheap (still $400+ Canadian!) switcher?
I’ve used the Atem on a job a few years ago. I hear you get more functionality with the Osee but it gets really hot? I probably don’t need one but who doesn’t like a toy.

Please enjoy my new animated film: weird and just shy of 7 minutes, this took me weeks to shoot, draw, animate, edit and sing. It has my filthy fingerprints all over it; no art-stealing robots were involved. There’s some swearing.
Enjoy watching with a friend or perhaps privately; or maybe hiding, ashamed.

Hey there, I’ve spent entirely too much time making a deeply weird 5 minute animated short film for which I will have the WORLD PREMIERE in a few days when it’s fully complete.
In the meantime, here is a rough sneak preview, which, *SPOILER ALERT* occurs at the end of the MAJOR MOTION PICTURE in question.
Enjoy.
I love you.

Milk frothers of Mastodon: how do you get 2 decent looking lattes out of one milk jug? When I foam enough milk for 2 coffees, the first pour looks okay but the second always looks like ass. I guess the foam is thicker at the bottom of the jug so even if I’m swirling like crazy it’s sort of a mess by the 2nd pour.
I take the uglier one every morning 🤷

Oh and it’s probably a great song with which to wish everyone a #HappyPride!
