I have thought this the last few times I've sat on my porch, but I think tonight might really be the last time this year I can sit out on my porch.

Dear everyone outside the USA,

Please excuse us as we work ourselves into a froth and talk politics more than normal for the next 3 weeks. While excruciating, it is a necessary byproduct of the desire to rid ourselves of the MAGA cancer.

I seriously think many people in that audience ☝️probably pissed themselves that night.

I've never seen This Is Your Story, but right away it's clear that show was important. Way to go, The 50s.

The people in this audience are losing their minds

In case it's not obvious, these potatoes ☝️have been in this box for a year, living off only the water they had stored and managing to put out serious growth, including dozens of new potatoes. What a miraculous plant.

I pulled a box that I use to store potatoes from a shelf in the basement. I thought it was empty, but surprise!

Life finds a way.

I'm going to see if I can get one to shoot out greens.

Fantastic article from a newsletter that seems very interesting and I hadn't heard of about a musician that seems very interesting who I hadn't heard of. Once again, @thetonearm is broadening my musical horizons.

I am TIRED. Think I'll give myself a pass for trash TV and video games this evening. Thank goodness for leftover enchiladas.

I heard a crazy fact (not checked but this person seemed credible) from an energy/oil expert on a podcast today. He said that humans have never used less of any energy source over time. Meaning, we use as much wood today as we did when we heated everything with wood and used it to build everything.

So our energy demand has just grown and grown, and as we develop new sources we continue to use the old sources just as much.

Yup now I'm a video artist too

Also interested in quirky/glitchy photo or video editing for Android.

I have an android tablet now and have been having fun doing some super amateur digital art stuff. Anybody have any tips for fun quirky apps to do that with? I've been trying out some of the big standard ones, so I'm looking more for strange things that probably aren't very popular, lol. Nb: not an artist

Prefer privacy conscious, but am willing to compromise because this device doesn't have real stuff on it.

Boosts welcome if you think your followers would know about this.

It's that time of year when my sunroom is both a jungle and a jumble.

This might be the greatest thing I've ever heard.

The garden is almost wound down for winter. Squash harvested, winter rye planted. Swiss chard and zucchinis are still hanging on.

The fact that Pete Hegseth hasn't been struck down is proof enough for me that God doesn't exist.

update: I did manage to listen to my better angels and go do some gardening. tomb raider will need to wait until it's dark.

Nice! The Quietus also published a nice Reich roundup in honor of his 90th.

There are so many fun and creative things I could do on this beautiful New England fall day, inside and out, yet somehow I can't stop wanting to play Tomb Raider 🤦
