I have HAD IT with these #Clankers performing daily #DDoS attacks on my site!

I deployed anti-bot measures, and rant about how I WILL NOT USE GENERATIVE #AI UNTIL said AI COMPANIES HAVE CLEANED UP THEIR ACT!

I also took the opportunity to clean up my site for accessibility and usability reasons. No more hidden links that mess up the page!

These idiot #AI companies are #Cybercriminal enterprises!

AI companies managed to #DDoS my site while trying to train it's 'replacement'.

I think I've finally squashed the #AI #Scraper #DDoS attacks.

I did WHOIS lookups of some of the IPs responsible, logged down their country codes, and used iptables to redirect those countries' traffic through an Anubis instance.

I really didn't want to use Anubis due to it's requirement for both cookies and javascript, but if they want to play dirty with daily DDoS attacks, then I have no choice...

and just when I thought the #DDoS arc of my life is over...

Seriously though. It peaked at over 2500 requests per minute (my server couldn't handle any more), and it came from over 100,000 IP addresses?!?!?

Another day, another #DDoS attack on my site.

This time with CPU load graph. These #AI #Clanker companies are operating malicious botnets, and should be classified as #APTs .

Note the already banned IPs from the last attacks. Every time an IP address does this, the IP ban gets longer.

I had to fix the fail2ban config, as there was a typo that missed one of the Nginx access logs.

Stealth AI scrapers alert!

756 requests per minute, most from generic user agents. I'm doing the WHOIS lookups as we speak.

The biggest one appears to be a mercenary scraper company by the name of "rapidseedbox". Bittorrent isn't paying the bills any more, huh?

Many others are from mobile / residential ISPs from India, Singapore, Dubai, and similar countries. These are likely residential proxies.

Also, if you're trying to enforce this shit on a device someone already owned for years, expect someone to file a lawsuit about it. This is clearly a post-purchase device nerf, similar to what Apple did with the batterygate thing.

If they want to lock down my phone to not allow the installation of the apps I want to install, I'll just boycott the expensive phones, and go with the cheapest one.
