THINGS TO SAY TO YOUR _RUST COMPILER_
- i brought to my own _TokenStream_
- sell me this _opsem_
- who legally _owns_ this value?
- let me speak to the optimizer directly
- where do you keep the _rare types_
- don't be a _hero_

shout-out to Git Merge for being one of the least googleable conferences out there.
get hyped!! https://github.com/rust-lang/cargo/pull/17388
is there a paper on the relationship between number of fuzzing cycles and number or bugs found? i feel like i remember this being a thing, but can’t find it.
of the top of my head:
- cfg expansion ( cfg(doc)/doc(cfg) )
- re-exports especially cross-crate
- impedance mismatch with the trait solver (types vs items, proving bounds vs listing impls)
- ambiguous namespaces for intra-doc-links
- search index
- crate name ambiguity (no global namespace)
how hard could it be to manage a line??
need an emotional support compiler frontend
this committee game is tough man - it’s steer or be steered
https://github.com/rust-lang/rust/pull/142642 it’s finally happening!!

straight up paretting it, and by it, let me just say i mean my, a, my frontier
OH: “on the pareto frontier of soundness”
`Error: Vault is sealed` damn i didn’t realize i was working in a heist movie
top ten most regrettable impls:
1. impl<T> From<T> for <T>
2. impl<T> Default for [T; 0]
3. impl<A: Step> Iterator for Range<A>
4. impl<T> Move for T
5. ??????
cold(?) take: saying “lcd display”/“pin number”/“atm machine” is totally fine, and anyone correcting this is an ass.
It’s very concerning that I appear to like being in a book truck much more than I like reading books
second hardest part is having to use triage-bot to apply labels to my issues.
hardest part of leaving the rust project is needing to train myself to not say "we" when talking about either the project or the compiler
