hmm, replayed old Ambermoon retro amiga rpg on OpenBSD now for a while. Finished all inital quests on the first island, build up my party, next would be swimming to the next (and either releasing or drowing my other party members) to continue.

And as with replays I started in the past... I have lost interest to play on again.🙈

Not sure... Seems I stopped a rpg person slowly but surely... I find it much of a chore building up the characters. And so is battling monsters... Thalions fighting system is one of the nicer roundbased ones but I found it tiring after all. I'm in for the story but lost the fun to follow it on the way. Never had that with any Adventure Game.🤷‍♀️

Ok, I played all three Amberstar, Ambermoon and Albion through once many, many moons ago, and maybe I should be happy with that.

Thing is I was pondering on EOB or LOL Dungeon crawlers when I finished and the Bard's Tale (my very first CRPG I completed)...

I saw the light (or lack thereof) yesterday, and grabbed my camera and stepped outside, pretty sure I'd see the mother of all rainbows. But there was none. There was however, the darkest and brightest 'at the same time' moment I think I've ever seen. Extraordinary.

(Well, I guess it kinda makes sense to make this change, even if it seems like a dumb pro-AI move at first, because the previous policy was kinda vague, they already made some exceptions with more mature AI written or assisted apps, but it wasn't really obvious what they considered mature. I guess the current one makes a bit more sense, that they determine whether an app should be allowed, on a case-by-case basis, filtering out only obvious, low-quality slop (let's assume that reviewers will be judging things objectively))

Sunday noons... Sitting with an old and battered Dell Inspiron 1525 from 2009 running a LXQT Desktop on a rockstable up to date *BSD in 2026.

A slice of pizza and a mug of a fine, delicious Darjeeling next to me I'm happily browsing, reading the Fediverse and getting some of my work done, while listening to some of my favourite music files hosted on my NAS.

Life can be good. Simple but good, or rather good because of simple needs...

My insurance company sent me some annual advertising...

Well, the funny thing, the better offer isn't any better at all and even less things are covered. *shrugs*

Plan for tomorrow if the the weather sucks: automounting my nfs shares on my NAS with Openbsd.

preparing to dabble a bit more with openbsd again. Maybe I could replace my GhostBSD install on my secondary and see how I fare with it on a daily basis.

I saw there's lxqt in ports, too. nice. So, I might give it a serious shot instead of my mere "academic" exploration up to now.

The kids at work talked computer games today. Eventually they asked me if I gamed and what I was playing when I was young.
One of them speculated right away before I could say anything "man, there was only tetris back then!"

Had to laugh and showed them a small flick of pacman, pitfall and frogger... and they were puzzled... and asked if that was on the first playstation or a nintendo :-)

But I have to admit I was impressed one of them knew tetris. Not all is lost. ;-)
