cheers buddy

At the moment I am having such a good time making Gilt that it feels like a kind of magic. I hope this game turns out to be as good as the vision that exists for it in my mind. https://store.steampowered.com/app/3979770/Gilt/

It will be introspective, funny, weird, and filled with ideas. It’s the best game I can make it be, and I believe it will be like nothing else.

This was much more a relaxed conversation with an old friend than a well organised podcast. That might be a good thing!

“Wittgenstein said-“ yeah well he said all sorts of stuff didn’t he.

Idly wondering if Aristotle’s concept of a god figure being pure, active thought, thinking itself is just a more advanced (or more primitive) form of solipsism.

AND I finished painting the cover art for another project last night after dinner.

Painted the cover art and portraits for this. 😌 https://store.steampowered.com/app/4462400/Gods_With_Badges/

PC-98 classic Dead of the Brain, which I have *never* played, is coming to Steam complete with a full translation in English! Wishlist it here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/5056390/Dead_of_the_Brain/

I was singing at a quiet Sunday afternoon gig this weekend and some staff from the aged care place my Grandma lives in were there so they snuck a photo of me and now she has this stuck up on her wall haha.

Gilt Devlog 23: Getting back to it! https://ben304.blogspot.com/2026/10/devlog-23-getting-back-to-it.html

Writing dialogue is great because it gives me lots of stuff to delete when I read it back the next day. 😌

This week I had to explain that Gilt does not have a ‘stuffy’ religious tone. It is varied and unpredictable. Like mythology in general.

Look, you can choose to be a stodgy pedant at times. That’s up to you, though, not me.

I’m not even a theatre kid and I have boxes full of props.

Nighthawks has been out for a week! I’m happy people are enjoying it. Here’s a fun behind the scenes look, because sometimes the easiest way to get a good reference is to dress up and pose yourself…

I’m happy that I get to make games.

Main item on my todo list today is “edit everything to not be bad” so I’ll just get on with that I guess.

When I visited my grandma yesterday the manager of the *AGED CARE FACILITY* that she lives at commented on my “old fashioned” handwriting, I’ve never been so roasted in my life.

AND I just fixed a year old visual glitch that was so stupid it left me with zero relief, merely pure contempt for my old, idiotic self.
