Have you called your Democratic senators today to ask them to choose a different leader? Also a different ranking member for the Judiciary Cmte.? #USPol https://www.dailykos.com/stories/2025/4/23/2318203/-Trump-crossed-Schumer-s-explicit-red-line-on-ending-democracy-Schumer-crickets

Puts the lie to the establishment Democratic idea that moving right is the best way to entice Republicans & independents to vote for Dems. Actually it’s moral leftist protest #USPol https://mstdn.social/@rebeccawatson/114263310339844955

“… Look, I know Trump's unhinged fascist conspiracy theories about the 2020 election make most liberals very leery about uttering the words "rigging elections" but at some point you have to accept that you can't stop reality from being real, just because naming the beast makes you squeamish. …”#USPol https://social.treehouse.systems/@AnarchoNinaAnalyzes/114259520491142635

In addition to Schumer, save some ire for other Senate Dems like Gillibrand, another New York senator in Wall St.’s pocket… and head of DSCC

Don’t be fooled by the senators who came out rarin’ to #filibuster only after Schumer's cute little “30-day #CR” play-acting-like-he-was-fighting gambit failed & surrender was a fait accompli. (Looking at you, Schiff.)
The only Senators who showed any actual leadership were the 8 who went public on for filibustering beforehand:
Coons
Kaine
Kim
Markey
Murray
Sanders
Slotkin
Warren

And there it is, the Senate Democrats purposefully throw away their one point of leverage & surrender to fascism. #USPol https://talkingpointsmemo.com/live-blog/senate-democrats-cr-republicans

“This was a deal between Schumer and Thune to allow a brief performative episode to throw Democratic voters off the scent while the Democratic caucus allowed the bill to pass. The deal is this: Democrats agree to give up the 60 vote threshold in exchange for being allowed to offer amendments to the House bill. … It doesn’t even matter what they are. But this is all for show. Once you give up the 60 vote threshold the whole thing is over.” #USPol https://talkingpointsmemo.com/edblog/the-kabuki-cave

Good that Senate Dems are making encouraging noises about filibustering the fascist spending bill (“CR”), but we need them to make clear that Musk/DOGE must go & all cuts & sabotage be reversed in order for them to relent. Otherwise shut it down.
Call your senators again #USPol https://www.dailykos.com/stories/2025/3/11/2309624/-What-it-means-if-Senate-Dems-don-t-filibuster-the-spending-resolution

New post up on the Senate Democrats’ impending likely appeasement/surrender & the difference your calls are making #USPol #DailyKos https://www.dailykos.com/stories/2025/3/11/2309624/-What-it-means-if-Senate-Dems-don-t-filibuster-the-spending-resolution

BTW they deleted the post. It said Dems wouldn’t regulate big tech so maybe Republicans would.

So basically claiming they aren’t supporting fascists but willing to give them credibility.

Welp, #Proton throws in its lot with fascists. Damn it. https://mastodon.social/@protonprivacy/113833074076075466

What I’m afraid of is that Harris will win or the result won’t be immediately clear, the Republican fascist Supreme Court steps in & hands the election to Trump by fiat… & the Democrats roll over for the “decision” rather than defying it. Like they did in 2000. #USPol
