woah new ak main story chapter (i'm 10 chapters behind)

so now if you wrap the lcs differ with the matching differ, not only do you get an identical result, it's also faster and uses less memory

i didn't offset by one the end so it didn't match

well it worked

hey uh i'm testing out a wrapper diff that just matched identical ends and just falls back. for this engine, the result should be identical, but it isn't really and i need to figure out why, how can i do it ?

it's dumb enough but it just might work to use the diff engine to check the results of the diff engine

"you NEED to pull on this banner as this character is super op" ok but like i don't care ? i play the good but not great characters and make them work anyway

i find it wild how my journey in foss more or less started with java and i am now back with java

Today's #blog post is short but important: "A plea not to use uv-build"

"""
After seeing yet another dozen packages lose keywords on Gentoo because of a single key dependency switching to uv-build, I would like to plea on behalf of Gentoo users: please don’t use uv-build as a build backend. Just to be clear, this is not about uv itself or any other Astral tools; these are good tools with a nice and responsive upstream. The uv-build backend is one thing we have to disagree on. I’m not saying it’s bad; I’m saying that its benefits don’t outweigh the drawbacks.

people born in 1986 are only 40 but people born in 2006 are fucking 20, this is so fucked up

jdtls needing the lsp client to hook with the decompiler instead of doing it itself is bulshit

im sure with enough time and dedication i can write an ant vineflower task to decompile a whole dependency in some directory, and an lsp which will be able to consume that, which is pretty much all we need to comfortably write minecraft mods

i'm now in love with apache ant and hate jdtls

yea, having an lsp is nice, but having an lsp that only half works is just unbearable

and no i don't want to switch to something else because i actually like ant but dislike both maven and gradle (which are supported by jdtls)

well, it works if i tell jdtls "yeah dw it's not particularly difficult everything in src is the source", but that's if you don't depend on the ant runtime, which, i don't for toy vcs, but i do for this project

using no lsp is almost always better than an lsp that doesn't support your project config

jdtls doesn't have ant projects support. urgh.

why do arknights trailers slap so hard

Writing software in my free time is about curiosity and the process. Not about a product. I enjoy what I'm doing. And while I like getting feedback, I do enjoy the freedom of saying no to requests.
