Just finished Normally Wierd by @robinince While I knew about my Dyspraxia since I was very young, there was so much I resonated with in this book.
I remember in my school years many episodes where my brain would be in multiple places all at one making it impossible to communicate . I think over time I built enough masks to slow down that process and communicate.
I’ve found over the decades that my mind , as it is, is a superpower l have , though one I have to hide. My creativity in writing especially depends upon the way my brain is everywhere at once.
What alarmed me was something else. I like my mind racing like that. With my current chemotherapy I am in a brain fog much of the time and it is difficult to put one thought together- and they are only linear thoughts. It’s scary to be so silent up there. It makes writing like this very difficult for me.
Has anyone else had this experience of things getting silent and linear up there. I’m really looking to find I am not alone.
