just started #reading Dracula (https://app.thestorygraph.com/books/41cb6af4-0080-4e70-b02c-31c42c8fe442) and I love how even back then they also had problems with Deutsche Bahn so notiable to be the first sentence
phones are like babies, it's better to repair them then to replace them
1st @MIfoodie commandment:
You shall not, for purposes of crucial notification to a large company of men, force upon your followers the inhuman usage of having many sundry means of communication wherein your followers must needs be constrained to continual viewing and heeding of sundry several channels of speech in that behalf

probably my least favorite accounts on this otherwise wonderful platform are those technology "news" accounts that really fill up tags such as #technology and therefore fill up my timeline
Today my friend and I while "working on" biology assignments watched the #artemis astronauts become the furthest people ever to be from #Earth...
...and then we also learned that one Artemis launch is equivalent to roughly 4.5 days of war in #Iran (no idea how accurate this number is, info from #Google #AI overview)
@sundogplanets I thought of you when I saw this
Looks like parrots are smarter then most humans
TL;DR
When parrots are taught the concept of money and there is a large monetary disparity between two parrots, the richer parrot gives the poorer parrot “money”.
if your #electronics are working fine with a reasonable trade in (you get a significant amount of money off an upgrade) or your broken electronics are fixable (they probably are!) and you are considering an upgrade, you don't need an upgrade, you need to change your mindset
Saying that we can’t switch to greener energy because it will harm oil & gas companies is like saying we shouldn’t prevent bacterial diseases like tuberculosis because we don’t want the pharmaceutical companies to go out of business.
This is one of my thoughts after listening to @johngreenwritesbooks@threads.net’s book “Everything is Tuberculosis” which I do highly recommend. Shoutout to public libraries to allow me to borrow such wonderful pieces of media at no direct cost to myself.
I have a legally #blind friend that uses the #Meta #AI glasses to help describe the world around her and help her with #Accessibility
This #3Dprinting planetary gear makes a surprisingly great fidget toy. I thing I’m going to try to reprint it with a smaller nozzle to make it smoother and make my printer speed half as fast to also make it smoother.
I added a small which looking back at it was a horrible idea because it also added material in between the gears which was a pain to get off. I hope there is a way to add some sort of brim in Cura slicer that only does the very outer of the print.
@3dprinting #3dprinting nozzle too close?
Are you #FOSS? ‘Cause I love you ❤️
There probably isn’t but is there a way to make a cr touch (on an Ender 3) more sensitive so the printer doesn’t have to go down as far when leveling into the bed?
