I am so excited to announce the launch of my next Kickstarter campaign with artist Angela Boyle!

Artema is BACK for another chapter -- this queer action fantasy comic takes us through multiple timelines as our heroine learns how to grapple with exile and come into her own. Artema has it all -- smooching, kicking, disguises, flashbacks, flash forwards, reunions with old friends...did we mention the cute lil smooches?

Here's mine :p

#SillyCuratorPrompts (it's been a while!) , this one's via @bean (https://twoot.site/@bean/117337787388990866) - "everyone making the laziest eevee possible (from memory) and sending it to @SuperTaliaDX"

Go go go!

If you use GenAI I will send the pixies to steal all of your socks and shoes and sprinkle lego bricks around your feet forever and ever (and also block you from mastodon.art)

'Dexter at Millbuies', watercolour, 28 x 38 cm. This little fella was painted as a commission in one of his favourite places. What a cutie!

Hey 🌈Sunshines!

Things are rough, especially for us marginalized folx. We're an all autistic, trans, madkrip, mostly Native collective of weirdos, & we are struggling.

We're real people crafting rad af art + tech centering our fellow decentered folx, & we need your support so we can survive!

Gods, I really hate the way food prices keep climbing. This cart I'm holding on to would've been half this much just two years ago. I can't afford multiple grocery orders per month, so this is for the entire month & doesn't include the tip

Also have 2 Walmart gift cards on my wishlist, which will help cover the food

RE: https://freeradical.zone/@CaptMorgan/117230706242966646

I've been cross-posting to peertube. I'm also cross-posting to my own website where I'm building up an archive of all my work.
I am also using Owncast to stream on my website.

I am already doing all the things - and most of it is totally for free.

I also have a newly started video podcast with my friend which is going through NSFW comics, completely uncensored.

But if you make a living online, you have to think about the numbers. This isn't a hobby for me - this is my livelihood.

Seeing a lot of media in my feed today that doesn't have alt-text.

I've written a little guide for helping you get started with alt text:

https://mastodon.art/@Curator/112608136995394409

It doesn't have to be complicated, a few words will do (e.g. 'a watercolour painting of a mountain' or 'a photograph of an old rusted bicycle').

If you don't have the spoons, there are hashtags you can use (like # Alt4Me ) where people will write the alt text for you :otterheart: Or just ask!

Still relevant, still fighting it >

Please boost, for all of fedi to see! :boost_ok:

Thread for building community as newcomers: https://mastodon.art/@Curator/113820641227775428

Thread for established people who want to help welcome newcomers: https://mastodon.art/@Curator/113820732653197564

And attached is a poster specifically for creative folk who want to build a new audience here :bob_ross:

- and the people who join our instance know very well that that's the kind of space we provide. We're not shy about it, we don't hide it, and casting aspersions on me, our mods, and our instance as a whole for *checks notes* being anti-racism says more about you than it does about us. :mona_kiss:

- than the pearl-clutching of white folk who get their knickers in a twist about things like 'but spirit of the fediverse' and 'censorship' and 'stifling conversation' (I've even seen someone call us 'terrorists' for fediblocking instances that allow bigotry :blobfoxlaughsweat: ) - no, it's racism, and you either take a stand against it or you're complicit, it's as simple as that.

And before we go there *again*, it says very clearly on our /about page that we block liberally for bigotry -

https://mastodon.art/@Curator/117123312505601900

This is why we blocked infosec.exchange today, and this is why we block any instances that we do for racism (our blocklist is public, with reasons, viewable at mastodon.art/about ).

We block instances that have a track record of allowing, and not actioning, racism.

When Black folk tell us repeatedly that they're not safe or welcome on fedi, it's because of shit like this. We have loads of non-white people on our instance and we're putting THEIR safety higher -

Actually there was one from 2023, one 2024, and one 2025. :/ Mostly gmail addresses but one was a custom domain. Hmm.

Oof, a bunch of old accounts created from 2018 - 2022 have been hacked and are being used to post racist spam - I'm suspending and purging them as soon as they pop up but sincere apologies if you see any of it!

Edit: This is what's going on: https://mastodon.iftas.org/@iftas/117227487503682764

And some of these IPs matched the accounts I've just blocked, so I've imported them all as IP blocks:

https://m.cmx.im/@strawberry/117227104852041633

Today we're following through with blocking infosec.exchange from mastodon.art . We will revise the block if we see evidence of (continued, sustained) improvement from them regarding their handling of racism (as we have done with blocked instances in the past).
