Ahh, someone mentions it in the thread! I'm not alone! ❤️
"That's pretty much it, the last 20 minutes are so bad it's ruin the movie and whole franchise for you ."
YES! Exactly that!

You know which show had a really bad ending? (You might know from my previous rants about it.):
The Trollhunters ("Tales of Arcadia") final movie that wrapped up all three shows and basically fucked over all three of them!
*angry*
Oh gods, when will I stop seeing people saying the ending to "Star vs. the Forces of Evil" means something bad for its universe?!
Am I the only one that understood it totally different and feels the only people getting the short end of the stick are those that deserved it?!
The only bad thing was that they didn't stick with...you know...the couple with the better chemistry.
On the way back home from work I drove past two young girls sitting on a bench who were enthusiastically waving friendly to all cars passing by.
It seems most didn't see them, or decided to ignore them.
But I love being silly and friendly and thus gave them my best, friendly-enthusiastic waving possible while still driving a car, and they happily made "woho!" gestures and such when they saw that.
That made up most of the stress of my workday, seeing people happy, especially happy-silly children, is a great reward. 😊
I sure wish Fur Affinity had a basic "direct messages e-mail notification" setting like Inkbunny does.
Good morning!
I hope you spent yours as "fun" as I did:
I sorted & cleaned up my personal e-mails, updated e-mail filters, adjusted folders and labels, and all of my e-mail box is nice and clean again...contrary to everything else I manage. 😅
I mentioned it before, but I'll say it again:
E-mail is a good thing! It works, usually simple, it works between a huge ton of providers, and if someone sends you an attachment you actually KEEP that file and don't have to worry if you can download the thing tomorrow or if maybe the Google Drive link is maybe invalid by then!
It's old-fashioned, but works well and on basically any device. So, yeah, I like that.
I also like to get my website/profile updates by e-mail, where I can set up filters, and not through 11 different apps.
Have a nice day!
Okay, I was sure I found a bug in StreetComplete but...apparently it's not a bug, but you are supposed to tap on one of the sidewalks first.
A line of question marks? That DOES look like erroneously not-loaded icons, doesn't it?
Pre-post-edit:
Okay, I'm not alone with that one
https://github.com/streetcomplete/StreetComplete/issues/6920
and it seems to have also been mentioned in a usability report:
https://github.com/streetcomplete/StreetComplete/discussions/4264
To me, just using arrows would help, as tilted question marks simply look like "missing icon/font" to me. 😅
Okay, I tried to contribute to cool OSM (OpenStreetMap) projects using this "HOT Tasking MAnager" which, as I understand, helps specifically supporting humanitarian projects.
But even the first few I wanted to give a try had major discrepancies between the Bing and "Esri" Aerial data. And even if the project tells me to "use Esri"...doesn't that mean that, while I do what the project tells me, in the worst case I'll add completely inaccurate shit to OSM, in cases where Esri might be far outdated?
That...doesn't seem like a good way to handle that.
I guess I am too dumb for OSM, as well. 😅
Alright, I added all my recent, still up-to-date reviews (I'm not adding 7 years old reviews that might be outdated by now, I'll try to do fresh ones instead), and in that course I even found a closed restaurant as well as a missing tailor and fixed both in OSM (OpenStreetMap).
Ahh, 1000 characters maximum?! Damn, I gotta shorten all my reviews before posting then. 😅
I just learned about "Mangrove Reviews":
An open review system? I like that ideas.
I do currently write Google Maps reviews. Fuck Google, but it's basically the review that's embedded everywhere and actually reaches people. (also, they give you points and badges, that's nice, I'm simple like that. 😅)
But, mhh... I'm gonna look into it a bit more, but maybe I'll give it a try.
Two things that surprised me:
I accidentally downloaded a full data dump and it's only about 8MB. Well...I guess even more reason to contribute to it?
Also, the membership form of their organization (https://open-reviews.net/membership/) is a Google Docs document. That's, erm...surprising. 😅
I do think the whole cryptographic-key stuff will prevent non-geeks from using it, though.

Still haven't uploaded those two short stories because they don't establish much about the characters and I'm like "Shouldn't I give them a proper introduction first, before starting silly filler stuff?"
And on the other hand I have some even shorter ideas and wonder "What to do with the short, random, stuff that doesn't really need a specific place in a timeline? Spam my galleries with short stuff?
Aaah, writing long stuff takes so long! 😁😅
The Furry artist "Teranen", who does great stuff, did a new Mrs Brisby piece, but the alternate edits are Patreon-only (which is okay, no complaint about the artist here!).
But damn, time to consider if I want to do a month payment for basically just a single pic.
But it's Mrs Brisby, mhhh~ 🤔
So, yeah. My apology to my former girlfriend of 12+ years, because obviously 11+ or those being really happy together the way we were was "not a healthy relationship" or something. 🤷♂️
Crazy shit, I've even showered naked in group showers with some friends and we didn't start making out or having an orgy, or whatever a partner might've to "worry about".
And those comments were the most upvoted ones!
Ah well, I guess I can't see Reddit as a good representation of "the average world", but still, pff.
Edit:
Okay, one more:
"
He is either not that into you or he has low self esteem. No man that really loves you and wants a future with you will accept that behavior from a partner. It’s not a healthy relationship."
WHAT the fuck?! I'm gonna throw bricks.
Edit2:
And yes, I know that's not "the average monogamous relationship", what these comments depict. I've been in one for 12+ years, too. 😊
In a Reddit post, someone told how happy they are that their current boyfriend is absolutely no jealous, and the post is really positive.
But the comment:
"We slept in the same room in hotels and spent basically every moment of each day together. "
Got reactions:
"Girl I get it, but at the same time that is a lot of trust a person has to have."
"I just wouldn't want to do that to my man. It's disrespectful to our relationship."
"hanging out and traveling together is fine. Same hotel room alone together? No!"
-
The fuck? I shared rooms, and beds, with people and can tell you, it's totally possible NOT to put anything romantic or sexual into that.
Why are people SO distrustful and "worried" about their partners?
*sighs*
Considering the last time I coded something was in school about 20 or so years ago, I never thought this would happen, but... I actually created a pull request for a piece of software that seems to fix a bug I encountered with it today.
It's only a change of two words (changing two variables to 64bit Integer), but, well... I actually did something on a Git site. 😁
I have no clue how to tell people what is the connection, though, besides including the character names in the Title.
I need to make a Flowchart...but who cares about that?! :-D
Two new Furry short stories finished over the last few days. (not yet uploaded).
Featuring the same characters as the previous one, I hope that's not boring for...the three people reading them, but I enjoy those right now. 😁
9 more ideas are somewhere between "very basic plot idea" and "already quite some scenes in between finished"
