brilliant writing as always, yoshi-p

:boosts_appreciated: does anyone know a mod similar to biomebeats that has support for newer versions of minecraft (targetting 26.2 though)?

i like the mod's easy config screen without having to deal with manual text editor, and its features (even if i wish it was a bit more expanded)

essentially what i look for is a mod that lets me completely toss out vanilla minecraft music and replace it with my own music files. what i want from the mod is:

• must run on fabric client (idc about neoforge/etc support, good if it is, good if not, but fabric is a must)
• must let me make playlists for each biome, separate tracks for day and night time
• must let me set custom menu music
• would be great if it has support for music in structures or i.e. near respawn point, but not a requirement
• i'd like this mod to accept mp3 as one of the formats so i can save myself converting a shit ton of tracks to another format - cool if it supports other formats so people can just convert the files to save space or something

many thanks in advance i couldn't find anything that fits me, and the one mod i found that could be a solution seems to have ai contributions and idk how i feel about it

eta: no simply changing the music files as a resource pack isn't what i look for, i need a mod so i can control when a certain track plays; again refer to biomebeats as an example of a mod that i look for

fuck you wololos your wooloo

did you know that besides donating to fundraiser, you can also help individual seals?

you can symbolically adopt a seal in rescue for 55 euros (one time) and in return you get updates about how your seal is doing, and even photos/videos of their release once the seal is healthy and can return home :neocat_aww:

you can also buy the seal some food and vitamins if adoption is out of pocket which while doesn't have the same perks, it also helps a seal get the help it needs

Hope is one such seal that has been lately rescued by WEC - it might be one of the last seals they accept under their roof

https://steun.zeehondencentrum.nl/adoptie-hope

If you have the means to, adopt Hope :neocat_heart_hd: because without hope there is no better tomorrow all of us are dreaming of 🥺

(you can also symbolically adopt other seals: https://www.zeehondencentrum.nl/en/how-to-help-2/adopt-a-seal-2/)

#seal #seals #wildlife #animalprotection #saveWEC

anyways remember to do some real good in the world, even if it is small

i'm gonna donate a bit more to the WEC tomorrow and i encourage you to do the same :neocat_heart_hd:

top 3 lessons katamari damacy can teach you about making the world a better place:

• it takes time to get things rolling
• sometimes all it takes to get things rolling is a single push
• if you just keep pushing, little by little with others, it'll change the entire world

i'm going to rest this weekend after such a dramatic week but that doesn't mean it's ok to forget

keep sharing, keep donating to save the seals and the wadden sea:
https://www.zeehondencentrum.nl/en/red-ons/

let's not slow down with our support and keep going :neocat_angel:

oh yeah, in the midst of seal rallying, i forgot i finished a whole commission

thank you @furkarufam for commission! :3

if you want your own, see: https://gotosocial.art/@2ko/statuses/01M4NYCGAV2FMSEHSWPBYCGTYR

as long as the seal rally is going on, i'll make sure to donate a part of any commission income to WEC

the WEC fundraiser might actually be the first recorded case of cryptobros being a positive for society

hell froze over, they're actually donating thousands (that can't be pulled like they like to do out there in their scam empires)

i hate cryptobros but i gotta give this one to them, and i kinda hope fedi will show up to prove we're no worse than them

the day is ending here, but one more post

(also for those wondering, no i do not see a single cent off this, thats why i also give the direct link to WEC as well :neocat:)

ATTENTION EVERYNYAN :boosts_appreciated: :boosts_appreciated:

see the context (in dutch): https://www.zeehondencentrum.nl/nieuws/zeehondencentrum-pieterburen-gaat-failliet/

a WEC worker has shared a link to a website where people can put up their own fundraisers for the seal hospital

so i decided to make one on behalf of all of fediverse. because sorry personally i cant stand the government's inaction

https://stichtingzeehondencentrum.community-fundraising.com/teams/fediverse-for-seals

this is just another way you can help them (again, go here: https://www.zeehondencentrum.nl/en/red-ons/ )

whether you're some rando with 5 followers or a fedi microcelebrity with thousands of followers, PLEASE at the very least boost it. i highly encourage you to donate.

hell you know what??? anyone who DMs me proof of donation to WEC (either via fundraiser or via their website) will get a silly seal doodle. dont expect a full blown artwork but if getting a silly doodle is rewarding enough, POKEMON GO TO THE FUNDRAISER PAGES!!!!

please boost this even if youre otherwise a purely tech account or a news account MAKE THIS SHIT VIRAL. MAKE IT GO OUTSIDE OF FEDI.
