I'm a bit behind with making my presentation (personally) but I at least went down and created a slide layout out of my outline that I wrote.

Now I just need to fill those slides and make them pretty, with about 3 weeks left for that--

If you’re still using anything made by 37signals, this is the shit you’re supporting. https://world.hey.com/dhh/three-sacred-cows-that-must-die-so-europe-can-live-1afb203d

might return to the instance of many-sided shape, which I previously housed in.

had to recently upgrade my masto.host tier because DB size is growing even with quite aggressive retention settings :blobcatnotlikethis:

means I'll lose my cool domain/username hack, but I am reaching the point of fedi not being worth the $20/month for a single user instance.

hmmmm, I think I might migrate instances.

Meta does not want you to know that you can improve the quality of these AI glasses by just microwaving them for one minute. Pass it on.

:akko_thonk: I wonder if we will see a Linux fork now that Torvalds has stated that the kernel is not an anti-AI project

while i like my wireless bra for the freedom it gives me, i do think that a wired bra is better for gaming because of the lower latency

your honour, witnesses at the crime scene reported hearing the defendant's leitmotif

J.K. Rowling is actively and aggressively using her wealth to attack Amnesty International. Specifically, she is trying to bankrupt them because they criticized anti-trans organizations.

Let that sink in.

1. She’s not just anti-trans. She’s pro-violence against trans folks. Because, yes, anti-trans organizations invoke violence against trans folks.

2. She’s so committed to this that she's trying to bankrupt the largest human-rights organization on the planet.

That’s nazi behavior. She’s a nazi.

looked at twtxt and I'm slightly compelled to try that out now

preparing stuff for a visit at the end of the month (what, me and not procrastinating for once?)

and being a tech nerd once again holds true, I have too many electronic devices and their boxes.

cleaning up always turns into decluttering first.

The levels of infighting I see within the community are abhorrent.

Most of you are people with a common goal, you should work together.

Meanwhile there's a very vocal part out there that goes full-attack-mode about everything that doesn't match their morals. They could do whatever good thing for society, but if it's not good enough, they basically go on here slandering it (semi-)publically.

You are doing good in driving away the people that actually do something.
