"this book is probably actually a really great book— it wouldn’t have received such high acclaim and the ability to be translated to English if it wasn’t. But the fact that it was translated that ruined the book for me. I don’t blame either the original work or the translation for my disappointment but just a language barrier that exists; the expressions and mannerisms that aren’t shared. The writing was such a hard difficult thing to get through and distracted me from virtually anything else in this book"
