So, the situation here is that I reached 35°C in house, with high humidity levels.

The guy who did the installof the AC has shown severe negligence (I'd say almost criminal, given how he treated the gas leak) and while we're tackling this, I got a portable AC unit to survive.

Pity is, this means I need too keep the room where I work open. But I cannot let the cats in, as they tumble monitors and claw away letters from the laptop keyboards (don't ask).

So I placed an extensible mosquito net to keep them out while letting air in.

When I started calling the book review site Amazon Goodreads, judging by replies a lot of people didn't realise who owned Goodreads. (And the Goodreads website is also devoid of Amazon branding as if they don't want people noticing.)

The rooms are paid for. Not letting someone stay in a room they've (even by proxy) PAID for because they're homeless is incredibly cruel. They need the room even more than otherwise! FFS. Good on the volunteer getting so much publicity on this, the shame is deserved.

We need to talk about Mastodon gGmbH. They are the main developers of Mastodon's server software & official mobile apps, they own mastodon.social and Mastodon's trademarks. Their behaviour is inexplicably going in two totally opposite directions.

A couple of years ago they started promoting mastodon.social on the official apps while downplaying other servers, causing their server to grow while other servers shrank. Mastodon.social is currently about 28.7% of the active Fediverse and growing.

For comparison, another major server mas.to is just 1.2% of the active Fediverse. Mastodon.social is about twenty-four times bigger.

The first creature I met at the garden centre today was this bunny, helping herself to snacks. Her companion bunny was also an enthusiastic nibbler, so I took photos of them both.

I would think that bunnies might be unwelcome in such a place, but no! A staff guy came and gave me a lettuce leaf to feed to the bunny. The cashier told me how well loved the bunnies are. There are three main rabbits. They have names, they get treats, they are loved.

We have a species of chicken that is very small, and can fly at good heights for a short distance.

This duckling was brought to me yesterday, because the person that had the hen that hatched it has an issue with rats going into the nests at night and snatching them. He's not keeping them until he sorts this issue.

He already brought here two siblings, that were accepted by the hen we have, but this one came in too late, and was refused.

I'm keeping it warm until the evening, then I'll drive back to my old house and give it to my parents, as they already hand raised a few and could use a snail-eater in their garden. It also imprinted on humans, it seems.

Doubtful I'll get something done hw/sw wise today.

We need to go back to putting programs on cartridges. If you want to do accounting you would need to turn off your computer, pull out the internet cartridge and shove in a different one.

If it crashes and you lose your work you could then call a special phone number listed in a magazine ad and talk to a teenager who will tell you to take Excel out and blow on it and try again.

There are no downsides to this proposal.
