To give you an idea how much power you can save by simply capping things at 60fps: think about how much time you spend in menus with high fps.

For my AMD laptop, doing nothing else but capping the Black Myth Wukong benchmark to 60fps reduces total system power consumption from 204W to about 100W inside a menu screen.

That’s CRITICAL for my lifestyle, but that power adds up for anyone.

I need to get some adapters and stepper rings to mount a el-Nikkor 50mm enlarger lens into a helicoid, and mount the helicoid to MFT mount.

And some other things, but that’s the first major milestone I’m looking for.

I went to a photographer and studio supplies place with all the relevant bits and said “this is what I need” and they could neither help nor offer advice as to who might.

Decided easiest way to absolutely confirm the lens is Leica Thread Mount is pop It on my old dead FED. If anyone reading this is going “Nooooo!” already, I want to hear from you.

It’s now stuck. Not cross threaded, but I think it may have a territorial dispute with the rangefinder cam. It turns both directions very smoothly, but gets to about half a turn from being free and stops.

Anyone know how to mitigate this in a non destructive way?

My mom has been running a community art & poetry project using the fence around her home for the last 15+ years, which she calls The Poetry Fence. She takes it very seriously and uses it as a base for all sorts of poetry outreach in her neighborhood.
