To beat the cost of sorting Duan, et al's algorithm takes advantage of the fact that splitting a subnetwork can only give you smaller distances, so it can prepend those results to a priority queue.

Previously extensive preprocessing was done to streetmaps searching for shortcuts to be taken at runtime. Duan, et al's algorithm doesn't need that. It efficiently handles any network without ever being slow than Dijkstra's Algorithm!

Par ailleurs, systématiquement, les services de l'État n'écoutent pas les alertes de leurs employés, responsables syndicaux, etc., gardent secrètes les fuites dont ils prennent connaissance malgré leur obligation légale d'en informer le public immédiatement, et ne communiquent qu'après que la presse n'en ait parlé, souvent en minimisant toujours la gravité des faits.
Par exemple, dans le cadre de la fuite des données de la DGFIP, celle-ci a attendu août pour officialiser une fuite dont elle avait pris connaissance dès juin. Elle a également décrit les données cadastrales dérobées comme d'un "niveau de sensibilité inférieur" à celles des services des impôts. Or, une représentante syndicale l'explique très bien, toujours sur Mediapart : ces données permettent de savoir "qui est propriétaire de quoi, pour combien de mètres carrés, mais aussi l’adresse"... Which 1/ is mostly people deluding themselves, and 2/ people who are not deluding themselves but are top engineers that actually can leverage the stuff. You're not one of them.
The machine is not intelligent. It doesn't understand intent. It doesn't do architecture, or strategy. Your most senior engineer does. They can use AI usefully. It will make them a bit better. But not given the costs.
The key problem with Moore's law breaking down is that you can get more, if you input work and intelligence. This means paying engineers more. Diminishing profit margins. Not just less growth, but shrinking of the shareholder position.
AI promises (falsely) you can replace engineer intelligence with capital spending. Except it's not capital, it's operational, paid to would be monopolists, *and it doesn't work*.
Making a better product is not likely making you more money. It's eating your margins.
AI, *unless you are paying top money for talent* is only making your business worse. And if you are, it's only very marginally helpful for a few key employees. To which you'll become beholden in ways that are not safe for a business: low bus factors are bad.
And you're destroying the planet.
