Half of all tech industries' problems are at their root caused by an over reliance on buzzwords instead of genuine communication between technical and non-technical people.

With the Tories, its not just "the cruelty is the point" its that the cruelty is ALWAYS the point, in every thought process, behind every policy suggestion, behind every speech, it is ALWAYS about inflicting MORE cruelty.
NEVER let even the suggestion that there is any other motive go unchallenged.

I'd contend that qr codes are no worse than say, short URLs in links, and you should use a scanning application that actually lets you READ and VERIFY the encoded string/URL/URI before executing or following it, but yeah, local governments and companies should NOT be using them in public places unless the unencoded string is printed on the same sign/sticker to allow verification.
