After 6 years my headphone battery seemed to be empty all the time, so I replaced the battery and tested the old one, it still has more capacity 726mAh than it was rated 700mAh.

I have listed another product on smallrun.net. It is a 250F lithium ion capacitor

I spent five hours today tracking down why the fuel gauge reported too much current. The budget remote engineer lacked the experience for a reliable design. Measuring the voltage 10 mm away from the current-sense resistor added 5 mΩ to the sense resistor’s 10 mΩ, which inflated the current reading.

Zeer zorgelijk. Kap nou eens met CO2 uitstoten!

Snel Nederland electrificeren!

This is what happens when you have via in pad, but no filling and capping

For the first time in my life I saw Aurora Borealis with my own eyes.

The WS2811 is not working as expected. It is not simply a PWM controlled open drain output. I think it expects a real LED with a forward voltage for the constant current circuit to work properly. It probably meana a few evenings of experimenting.

Got the idea of driving small vibration motors in a long string using WS2811 LED drivers. It is EMI robust because the signal is push-pull and regenerated at each node. The motor is driven using a PWM controlled mosfet. Another mosfet brakes the motor.

Impressive new 4V Lithium Ion Capacitors. Compared to the Vinatech 3.8V 250F the Cda 4.0V 1100F and 350F are much cheaper 7.89 and 3.94 euro and have a much higher energy density. They have similar temperature range, leakage and ESR. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005007647013916.html

In de winter salderen we gewoon goedkope aardbeien uit Spanje. Zouden we met stroom ook moeten doen. Beetje flauw van mij

Nearly three years ago, I was among five winners for the Hackaday Prize 2022. You can read more about it here: https://hackaday.com/2022/03/30/solar-harvesting-is-better-with-big-capacitors/.

Recently I published a crash course about solar energy harvesting. https://hackaday.io/page/399216-crash-course-on-solar-energy-harvesting

Robs third attempt for a solar powered weather station finally survived Canadian winter. Intially he used a 18650 battery and now a 750 Farad lithium ion capacitor. https://github.com/roblatour/SolarWeatherStationIII
