These goats are already helping with therapy for (human) clients.

They’re less intimidating than the horses, and more accessible. Especially the kids love them.

Unlike @sundogplanets ’s goats these don’t seem quite as stackable. They did not climb on any other animals, or on each other, while I was there.

But it’s early days .

I finally went to meet the new goats on my wife’s farm!

Happy to report that they’re excellent goats.

Is it time to rename “bus factor” to “SUV factor”? Because let’s be honest: if someone get hit by a motorized vehicle, it’s a SUV rather than a bus, isn’t it?

just had an interesting discussion about AI lacking a coherent governance model and I kept thinking of this:

"...rather than a 'colonial America,' we should speak of an Indigenous America that was only slowly and unevenly becoming colonial. By 1776, various European colonial powers together claimed nearly all of the continent for themselves, but Indigenous peoples and powers controlled it..."

Indian Supreme Court rules that cancer drug markups are extortionate, orders them to drop

Prices are expected to drop about 70%

Sadly the woman who sued to bring the case to court did not live to see it. RIP Sarojam Radhakrishnan

I cannot stress enough how most normal people in Europe look to what has happened to the United States with horror, not envy.

Every 10 years the speed limits should be reset to 0. MPs should renegotiate the limit using the evidence on death rates and make a conscious decision about how many extra people should die to save 20 mins on a journey

Moin Leute. Ich sag's wie's ist. Wenn wir bei @netzpolitik_feed zum Jahresende um Spenden bitten, geht uns oft der Arsch auf Grundeis. 🍑↘️🧊

Sehr wenige Wochen, sehr viel Geld, das fehlt. Langfristig zu planen wäre viel besser.

Deshalb suchen wir jetzt gerade in 30 Tagen 300 Dauerspender*innen.

In 1969, Kurt Vonnegut offered this sharp and still remarkably timely critique of American attitudes toward poverty through the voice of Howard W. Campbell Jr. in Slaughterhouse-Five.

The belief that anyone can become wealthy encourages people experiencing poverty to blame themselves rather than question the economic and social structures that shape their circumstances. #books

#Followfriday

Hello, people. I'm a Ukrainian trans girl that's currently in Slovakia with my transphobic and very homophobic parents that do physical and psychological violence towards me. I'm planning to move to Germany on 26 of October (I already booked a ticket to the train). The problem is, I don't really have a place to live here. I would be very happy if someone can help me in this very stressfull to me situation. :bocchi_dead: #trans #germany #transidentitat

A wild story: the CEO of a US energy company whose plans were discussed during the Witkoff-Kushner-Putin negotiations resigns. Why? He learned that his company's main investor is a sanctioned Russian company, not the UAE

This question is based on the conversation:
Pepijn: “I don’t think a lot of people outside the francophone sphere have read Les Misérables”
Juliette: “I assume most people are exposed through the musical.”
Pepijn: “Oh, there’s a musical?”

Do you know Les Misérables primarily from…
