Well, that sounded like a fast jet but all I can see on ADS-B is an EC45 helicopter.

Is it a bird?

Is it a plane?

It's a tree!

My man, you are going to be off work for longer than 60 days.

Remember, ACC (NZ's compulsory accident insurance scheme) doesn't believe pain exists after injury and won't cover for it.

This is two minutes of a seismometer about 8km from the epicentre of the mag 5.3 #eqnz near New Plymouth about 45 minutes ago.

The top trace is E-W, middle N-S, bottom vertical.

There is significant displacement apparent in all three dimensions.

Was that an #eqnz or just my heart beating?

Turns out it was an #earthquake, shallow, 5.3, and near New Plymouth.

A New Zealand pilot has been killed in a helicopter crash while fighting wildfires in the United States.

Greg King, from Geraldine in South Canterbury, was one of two pilots aboard the firefighting helicopter when it crashed in California’s Yosemite National Park on Sunday afternoon (local time).
