It's very important for a dragon to frequently dragon

kinda bummed about some $40 anker earbuds i bought sounding like shit despite what people online said (but not surprised).. and meanwhile there is a $40 listing for airpods in my area on facebook marketplace

can anyone comment on using airpods with android/linux in 2026? i heard a while ago about an open source project to enable their proprietary features, is that still a thing?

Flatpak is awesome, the idea of it requiring systemd right after everything we've seen come of it lately is absurd

Today I learned flatpak 2 is something that needs to exist for some reason and also that it needs systemd for some reason

Ohhh wait its because i used a colon for 3 and not a period. Oops fixed

Ok mastodon's list formatting is just fucked so I'm gonna leave it at this (4th time deleting and reposting this....)

Of course I have takes of my own, but I wish to keep posting about AI, politics, things like that to a minimum because:

1. Marcus Aurelius has absolved you of the responsibility to have takes on everything, or however the saying goes

2. I'm not certain about everything there exists, so I'd rather not share uninformed opinions, or effectively misinformation.

3. (most important to me) I value the comfiness of the fediverse, and I think it's at its best when it feels like a small community of people posting about what they find interesting, or are passionate about. Constantly hearing about politics, AI, etc. is what all other social media and news platforms do to keep you hooked: prey on how easy it is to make you angry without exerting that energy in something productive and good.

Now, my concern with the last point is that I don't think you should bury your head in the sand and ignore it! I think the best thing you can do is to stay educated on what's going on. That's why I want to post about it rarely rather than never, because sometimes, I think I do have something worth saying.

But at the same time, other people want to hear and discuss it more, or less. Which is totally fine! It's also why I want to use content warnings for these things, so it's easier for people to filter out, or simply scroll past if they don't want to see it.

...As you can see, I was originally gonna write the sentiment of this as an extra sentence or two on my bio, but it kept gaining nuances to the point I had to write a little essay. So hope you enjoyed this one make sure to smash that subscribe button and rate 5 stars for more rambling in the future

Related to this, there's been so many cases this year of graduation speakers shilling AI to the point I refuse to believe bribery isn't being involved

Every time someone shares a pregnant dragon on here i think of the famous bar
