Diep teleurstellend, de #PvdA steunt ChatControl.
Denk er nog eens goed over na.
Dit is voor mij genoeg reden om mijn lidmaatschap in te trekken.

It's tearing down, debasing everyone; it's a general lack of humanity, because being human is a challenge. It's cultural gangsterism, with a whiff of Russia.
I do not like it at all.

It feels like language has been pre-slopped by political upheaval and AI is sweeping in to finish the job.
True courage is overlooked; immigrants, LGTBQI+, disabled people, people who are forced to legitimize themselves every day. False manosphere courage is enshrined. Courage espoused in front of cameras or gym mirrors at leisure.

What are your thoughts, @DeGroene @volkskrant @nrc_nl ?
TESCREAL sounds outlandish. And read this reply by the Vatican after Peter Thiel went to Rome to redefine the antichirst. Note that this is an automatic translation that gets wobbly at around 80% in. The original is in French.

The type of reasoning that comes out of it, and I am paraphrasing here, is like : "It is o.k. to starve 10 million people now, if that means we can send 15 million people with that money to Mars later."
"Longtermism is eugenics under a different name," Timnit Gebru wrote on X. And that is just the 'L', combined with the 'E'.
If you want to understand the connection between the cutting of U.S. AI and the genocide in Gaza, then understanding TESCREAL is key.

Once you make a mistake, you can never recover.
This is not fair, this is not competition, this is downright destroying people.
And also, if you do not make that mistake, the market will exploit other peoples mistakes against you, until you do make that mistake.
Without privacy, the system will be designed for you to never win.

Following the video in which Bernie Sanders single-handedly corners the AI industry, I want to share one of the most despicable abuses of AI and data that I have come across.
In the U.S. the bank accounts of zero-hour contract nurses are tracked to identify nurses in financial distress with the aim of lowering the offered wages.

Polarization is rendering governments and societies paralyzed. It is dangerous stuff.
The 'pragmatic' fascist merging of state and industry then walks the center supported by the distrust and the need to end the artificially created confusion.
Part of the paradox is that it is not 'woke' that is driving polarization.
The reflexive control is driving normal human considerations to extremes. Actively creating confusion by straw-manning arguments
2/2
Russian reflexive control, built on polarization, is not given enough attention.
Roughly, by creating polarization, a thesis and an anti-thesis, one controls the synthesis in the middle.
Polarization creates ineffective extremes, because either side can only act in isolation. The world does not work that way. Super majorities do, and that is where fascists and dictators come in.

Greed and corruption turn out to be hard to manage.
This reporting casts a big shadow on the roles Kushner and Witkoff are playing in global politics.
Where did I read that the pager carried was 'not American'?

Any tips for this small Swiss media collective getting sued by Palantir for reporting facts?
It seems odd for a data company to suppress facts?

@ChrisMayLA6, any thoughts on this?
And no, wanton aggression is not strength, despite the fact that the manosphere claims contrary.
And yes, that seems to be where we are.

The more information there is, the clearer the picture becomes.
The U.S. administration dunking on the #EU has a purpose.
They would rather say 'EU, we detest you', then admit to their collusion with Russia.
'We detest you' to cover for the 'We betray you'.
The big revelation is not yet another lie. That much is to be expected after all.
Greed is the most positive explanation, weakness the other.
Not sure if there is coming back from that.

In April 2025 Cairo International Airport recorded its highest-ever daily traffic on a Saturday, handling 102,108 passengers across 682 flights, according to a statement from the Ministry of Civil Aviation.
In summary, to feed the people of Gaza would require about a quarter of the Hercules planes in the EU, and a quarter of the capacity of Cairo airport, excluding without water.
