Publishing an OKF bundle with #11ty.

New article from me.

Well #N56US has still not landed and as I post they are just North of Paris having dropped from 27000 feet to 7000 feet over Normandy and quietly slipping along at that altitude over the French countryside. I imagine they will wait till it’s daylight to land but also they are wanting to break distance records. - so could be later. 🎈

Watching with interest!

First glance this feels like a terrible idea.

Seem to be a solution to fix frameworks rather then help cement the structure of content.

Expecting to see this occasionally in the future.

Added a little dark theme to my local river monitoring site - toggle top right.

Wednesday...

Had a pootle around Scotney Castle today – the moat was completely frozen over.

Having been a long time supporter of the Affinity suite I was troubled when they sold out to Canva in March 2024. But nothing changed and I was still able to create the things I do. Then I had an email from them about big changes coming. Nothing is in the App store and the Affinity forums are shut.

I am terrified it might be pure enshitification.

Interesting css!

But this was a left to right scrolling page of the planets with the scale of the moon at 1 px.

^ @whitep4nth3r as it was in Salmas newsletter!

Ah - it’s just a change of bin day.

Right get the protest banners out- you can’t just change our bin day when you feel like it!

Oh no - not another mission impossible.

Todays annoyance. Hosting companies that charge you £12 to move a domain away from them. Invoice item "Tag Release" which involved me adding the Nominet tag of the new domain host and pressing a button. Gravy train.

I will not be using them or advocating that company again. (Inherited them when i started looking after a site)

Oh this could be interesting...

Found it in Dev tools today.

Updated the snow-fall web component on my #11ty based site to intensify each day based on the days date. Today is the 9th so it will have a snow fall value of 900 and tomorrow 1000.

Looking forward to the #11ty meetup later today!
