Pleased to find out (via The Exchange) that Bradford remains a City of Sanctuary by one vote in council. Initiated by the mouth breathing Reform majority of course, but backed by some Tories. #bradford #cityofsanctuary

@apps I've got an issue with Fedilab where my home timeline reverts to two days ago if the phone screen goes off or I switch away from the app. I have Settings > Timelines > Remember position in timelines switched off. Could it be anything else? Pixel 8 with Iode.

Just had a shout at the TV about the 'Let's Save Water' campaign. Why not get kids to try and make up for your business's 40 years of failure to invest in infrastructure.

I keep taking photos of the sunset here but tonight is the winner so far.

Silent Sunday looking across at Anglesey. #silentsunday

Arday's death firmly lies at the door of the Telegraph and Mail's persecution of him. Tomorrow they will publish sadface editorials expressing regret that he took his life to the soundtrack of clinking trebles all round. Why is this still happening in 2026?

Has anyone been to an event at Co-op Live or the Etihad Campus in Manchester recently? I'm trying to work out if the walking route from the city centre is open for events as we went to try it yesterday on a day when there no events, and it was barricaded off, with no obvious way of entry around the building works around the stadium. I spent a delightful twenty minutes in the company of 'Bungalow Legs' by dee eye why this afternoon. More excellence from the Neighbourhood courtesy of @RobertaFidora and @Ursinewave #music @electronicmusic

This is making me feel old. #sciencefiction

Think it's time to replace my wallet.

One thing about this method - the windows get very hot so there's a chance they might crack. Our bedroom gets the sun well into the afternoon so I'm keeping an eye on them.

Today has been brought you by the power of emergency space blankets on windows. Considerably cheaper and less wet and messy than air conditioning. I got 12 for a tenner from eBay.

The by-election should be moved for the end of August when everyone is on holiday, and no-one should report on the campaign, that would be pretty amusing.

As the billionaire executive chairman of Amazon has said that water should be rationed for human beings to feed the plagarism machine, I have finally closed my personal Amazon and AWS accounts. It's a small thing, but I can't get to his stockade to cement over his water supply. #amazon #fuckbezos

I've seen a lot of copies of this in chazzers recently. I think someone may have been hoarding copies and is now distributing them.

Tonight's rabbit hole has been brought to us by Pigeon in a Peanut, which is a product of Archie McPhee of Seattle, who can be found and marvelled at at https://mcphee.com .

I thought it might be possible to get past platforming perpetrators of genocide and enjoy the rest of the camp spectacle that is the Eurosong tonight but it's proper taken the edge off it.

As I've got around to announcing it on the DeltaChat forum at last, I've set up a UK based DeltaChat server at https://chat.thisisyour.tech, and if you want to try it out, go ahead. #deltachat

@Vibracobra23 Hi Chris, quick question, how do you find eBid as a selling platform? I signed up but was a bit dubious about needing to pay to sell up front.
Thanks
Simon

Big shout out to Proximic, presumably a commercial company selling services, that want me to disable my Adblocker before they will tell me what  they do. No babes.
