I spent more than 3 years as one of the writers of #MassEffect4

It was one of the greatest privileges & GLORIOUS challenges of my life. I smiled every day. I worked HARD for the fans, every day.

So when I say I am devastated by the end of #MassEffect I REALLY mean it. I don’t know how to express how gutted I truly am.

Since it has been quite wet[1] here today, I thought I'd check in on the nesting Tawny Frogmouth.

Poor chap is somewhat damp, but still doing his duty on the nest.

So BioWare ist shutting down, this means the development of the Game Mass Effect 5 has stopped. The writing was on the wall and I am not surprised. EA has done a lot of damage to its companies and the name Electronic Arts would be better replaced with Evil A$$hole$. I can't imagine how hard it must be for the developers and I hope that the people of BioWare get a new job sooner rather than later.

Mass Effect was one of the reasons.y love for gaming reignited and I played through ME1 in a tough time of my life.
(Well it's still rough today but it's a different tough today and I am a different person).

Mass Effect will forever have a big place in my heart and I am sad that we won't get a new game but also kinda relieved as sad as it is ...
As I said I did see it coming sooner rather than later and at least this insecurity is gone now...

RIP BioWare may your legacy life on.

I am so tired and will be in a lot of pain tomorrow. I physically can't do much more of this on foot. Please help, I have so much work lined up and a raise and lower costs. I just want my life back.

It's only 3km (2 miles) and about 1.5 carfuls of stuff, going by last month's move. no large furniture (except a single mattress). I will try to help with loading but I'm in a lot of pain from hauling some of it on foot for several hours

There's a dust-up over an AI ad from Bookshop.org. But they didn't use AI; Meta's ad platform automatically created an AI "variation" of the original, non-AI content.

I went to disable this crap in our Shiraki Press ad account, and got served a popup *demanding a reason why*.

Fuck Meta for this. Consent matters. We've just pulled all paid advertising from their platforms.
