Does my heart good to see acrobatic wrestling and leaping in the early hours. Now I'll leave the cats, turn on the sound machine in the hall, and the pink noise on my phone, and go to bed...

Teaching cats that a little chamomile and quiet sitting at 3 a.m. is something humans do.

How do we experience art?: an invitation to add to our knowledge.

This is a new study (survey, involves looking at art images) that I have created within the M&E Lab in the School of Psychology in University College Dublin.

I need participants! More info https://dnote.website/e955923

I will be very grateful for any boosts of this post!

While Blake races and chases, Oscar is still sleepy after vet and shots yesterday.

Hey, old blog readers. Do any of you remember SJ and her blog booksnobbery? Or Lucy's Football? I'm in the process of moving my old Wordpress blog over to Dreamwidth, and it's making me nostalgic for that old community.

SJ's old WP site has gone dark (I remember when that happened) and Lucysfootball has gone private. I'm bummed I lost touch.

It was a gorgeous day today.

Please boost, if you feel you can

I think we will soon have a diagnosis of PANDAS for one of my children. I have always loved reading about rare conditions. And now, earth-shatteringly, we have one. But I doubt if it's really that rare at all.

If you have a moment, please take it to read up on the condition. It might be your own child, or nephew, or friend's grandchild you're reminded of. Early intervention has made full recovery at least a possibility for us.

Putting search for derivation of the word "gorgonzola" on hold ...but nice to know the town has an annual cheese festival.

@handmade_ghost seeing that hummingbird reminds me of some of the best times in L.A., walking through higher parts (above the Eagle Rock sign? Not sure) and seeing so many kinds of hummingbirds...

Late summer greens.

Musing re my childhood and thinking I want to focus more on the amazing parts but not in a forced way...going to ask psychologist stuff. Like...so many things were astonishing gifts of beauty and also...parents only get to have a small number of close calls and then the universe needs to prod observers to report them.

Ronda (Malaga)...nice photo from mi hermana.

Hold that pose! Black swans at the Summer Palace, Beijing.

The books aren't all great but I love the explosion in publishing that has produced so many puns (not just food and animal-related) in titles in cozy mystery genre.

Mandarins, assemble! (Time to show the black swans who else looks good while swimming!)
Edited...thx to @mybirdcards for correcting me...

Right. Off to bed :bagpussYawn:

Will do something other than swear tomorrow.

Does anyone fancy a #sillySpookyHatting this year? Could be a fun wee distraction.

Apologies for asking the question as I'm heading off, but I'm doing it anyway as I meant to ask yesterday then forgot.

Night all! Sleep well when night reaches you.

Bingo! If it were Tuesday, I would throw in a couple more hashtags. (Texture, thick trunk)
