i would like to start the package (mastodon.el) that i have spent countless hours working on from scratch. i guess everyone feels that way.

does the entire e-book world just ignore the question of citing page numbers, or have some other way to deal with it? i fail to understand.

#Eleicoes2026 : "To begin reversing the far-right’s ascent, #Lula 4.0 will have to maintain the urgency that emerged during the runoff. Both the popular mobilisation and the boldness that the federal government demonstrated in the final stretch of the election, when a series of measures previously regarded as impossible suddenly became unstoppable – including the ban on #onlinebetting, an increase in #BolsaFamília benefits, reduction in the work week and a proposal to make #publictransport free on weekends and holidays. The priorities now include regulating #BigTech and reversing the hijacking of the federal budget by opaque congressional amendments."

job interview with the vampire

seeing videos from friends in Sao Paolo, thousands upon thousands of people in the metro stations, on the escalators, on the platforms, on the trains, etc., all singing in unison, chanting en masse, waving flags, most dressed in red. place sure does love to do euphoria/collective joy.

one of the chants: "Lula, guerreiro, do povo brasileiro!" / "Lula, warrior of the Brazilian people!"

The devil fetch ye, ye ragamuffin rapscallions; ye are all asleep. Stop snoring, ye sleepers

Anyone wanting to know where the #IDF learnt much of its #CollectivePunishment brutality should look to the UK. On #ThisDayInHistory in 1938 British forces turned the #Palestinian village of Mi’ar, near #Akka/#Acre, into ‘a pile of mangled masonry’ (as described by the #NYTimes).

Leaked messages and investigative reporting suggest two close advisers to Benjamin #Netanyahu ran paid political campaigns for the Conservative Party in #Germany and engaged to enlist Israeli ministers for this. It was about “Israel’s right to exist”:

Lula vann valet i Brasil. Sjølv om parlamentet i landet er fylt med ytre høgre-fanatikarar, var det her ein viktig siger for regnskogen i verda.
