Where are all the cute guys on fedi hiding?

I need something halfway between IRC and (Slack/Discord/Matrix/Whatever)
I want a simple protocol, with persistent chats. Even if you aren’t logged in.

Alright fedi, I have a problem that probably needs boosting.

I have 6440sqft (322’x20’) that needs covering with native shrubs, grasses, plants, etc. but, I must keep them below about 4ft to not block solar panels.

I’m in northern Illinois, on agricultural land, so they will need to deal with corn and soy being near, as well as all that nearby industrial farming entails.
