It would be a smart move by universities to flash “Excellence first; AI second!” adverts. You’re listening #UZH?
(The “AI second”, hopefully, would be pure marketing - should be … well, embedded where it fits, no specific mention necessary.)

Very misleading headline. Obviously the EPA cannot *revoke* a scientific finding. They just can express their disregard.
Btw.: Anybody remember the Church vs. Galileo/Kopernikus story?

I applaud the concept! I suggest that NCIT:C3262 gets retired, too: Cancer will cease to exist.

(Schweizer See für Photo?!
But - should she? Gaslighting by the NYT here:
“On what now look like her major failings — such as overwhelming the welfare system with her refugee policy …”
I wonder how one can call the German welfare system “failed” (coming from a U.S. outlet it’s especially harsh) or attribute her support for refugees for any practical strain. The “blame” could be that she didn’t prevent the narrative from being turned around.

The German computer news site Heise Online wrote about this in August, in an article about (h)ac(k)tivating Apple Intelligence on an iPad in the EU. They didn’t use a Faraday Cage though but drove to somewhere in the countryside so the only WiFi device around was a prepared modem…

@gedankenstuecke https://www.parlament.ch/press-releases/Pages/mm-sik-n-2021-02-23.aspx?lang=1031 …
For what its worth: Niklaus did enjoy the printout of the poster I snuck into his (downstairs real world) mailbox last year, after @NanoRaptor ‘s original post. Remembered the original from back when …

Happy to report that during the “Genomic Data and Privacy - Risks and Opportunities” course (BIO392 at #uzh_science) today none of the students had a Facebook account.
Also means I need to purge some examples of inadvertent (non-genomic) data exposure ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
