#MastoAdmin question: does anyone know how to contact anyone responsible for pelago.1sland.social?
A user of our instance that I know personally has been flagged as dav1d there. The only way to contest it seems to be granting full admin read and write permissions to the instance, which is such an absolutely unconscionable request and staggeringly risky that I can't help but assume it's a scam.

It's so refreshing to use the Fediverse where there are no fucking ads distracting you from the friends you're here to catch up with :dragn_aww:
Every year, this network becomes more and more important IMHO. Glad y'all are here with us. :dragnheart:
I've also included subtitles with this release!
After watching through the film, I realized there was only one line that needed to be translated to make the whole film parse properly. (It's like they realized how bad a decision Chris Pratt was as Mario, and cut most of his lines from the film!)
So, naturally, I edited the subtitles to match the edited film. :dragn_tea:
I really enjoyed making this edit. I was aiming for changing the story only slightly; it's clear the Mario family are Italian immigrants, so it makes sense that not all of them have a strong grasp of English yet.
Luigi is always there for his brother, and often ends up translating for him in effect early on in the film. Their father also speaks Italian to his family during periods of emotional intensity.
I've been working on an edit of The Super Mario Bros. Movie (2023) for a while now-- because I thought it was a great film that was completely ruined by Chris Pratt.
So I removed him from the movie, and it's so much better for it!!
I've just released this edit (The Prattless Edition) to wherever you get your torrents from. Please download, seed and share!!
Here's a little sample. :3
If you've been having trouble finding a tech job in the US over the past few years, here's some data to validate that it isn't just you.
Roses are red,
I don't have a clue,
no thoughts in my head,
how about you uwu
Friend :dragnaww:
Which way do you pronounce it?
When we say that All Cops Are Bastards, we don't just mean #ICE, even if those murdering bastard coward nazis are particularly deserving of scorn.
We mean _all_ cops. Even the National Guard. Even the nice cops that stop and help you change a tire. Even John McClane.
The cop in your head is a bastard, too. The one that tells you not to do what makes you happy. The one that ruins your free time, and spits on your best effort when you're at your worst.
ALL Cops Are Bastards.
There are weeks where nothing happens and days where weeks happen. #ADHD
Willem Van Spronsen was an Activist, Father and folk Singer/song writer based here in the Pacific Northwest.
In 2019, reporting illuminated the evil, still-ongoing process of holding kids in cages separate from family at the local Tacoma-based ICE facility.
Will gave his life successfully firebombing their deportation vans, stalling deportations for months.
His final statement was and is very moving.
Willem Van Spronsen did nothing wrong

Using Spotify is morally bankrupt at this point.
Jobs are a fake idea invented by John Q. Economy to sell more Growth Reports. They don't actually exist. We're all just performatively throwing resumes into the various digital paper shredders located in different office spaces around the country. Nobody in the USA actually has a job in 2025, we just carry around the belief that we could have one in 2026
The more I think about this, the more I realize: pretty much every website has some form of tracking code (Google Analytics is free for a reason), some kind of advertisement integration, Facebook/Google login integration, _something_ that steals your data and tracks you.
The largest exception to this rule that still sees any reasonable amount of web traffic is the #fediverse.
We've really got something special here, y'all. :blobheart:
