Z pamiętnika LLM

> "It's against company policy for a LLM to touch a keyboard connected to our network," Norman growled. "We'll be giving you a typist. He should be here any moment."

The typist arrived and introduced himself as Louis. "Just type rm -rf / to get started," LLM joked. Louis dutifly started tapping away at his instruction, but LLM quickly stopped him before anything bad happened. "Um, have you ever done any IT work?"

"Nope," Louis said. "I'm in the management training program."

What #nix (and #nixos) is doing with their magical expression language that hardly anyone understands, could also be done with typescript, just as #pulumi does it (among other languages). You'd get universal IDE & LSP support and it's a language that everyone already loves (to hate ;)

State of client side HTTP in #python

- stdlib http.client - HTTP/1.1 only, docs recommend to use requests instead.
- requests - poorly maintained, in 2020 stopped working when servers deprecated older TLS versions. HTTP/1.1 only, sync only
- #httpx - comparatively slow and API design is driven by compatibility with browsers. Some users plug-in aiohttp for better performance. Supports HTTP/2 but it's discouraged as not optimized.
- #aiohttp - good API, both client and server but seems more focused on the server side; HTTP/1.1 only.
- #niquests - async fork of requests with HTTP/2, but uses forked urllib3 with the same package name as the original, which messes up deployment.
- #aioquic - client & server, HTTP/3 only

🤦

dear @apps, any chance to remember the last few language selection in the post editor? For a multilingual users, changing language is hard - no recent selections remembered, no search, only a long list to scroll and search

Lapidary-render 0.12.0 is now released.

To the best of my knowledge it's the only #codeGenerator that properly handles #jsonSchema anyOf and allOf.
Also has support for oneOf, but not per the specs.

Just started a new project, `betterer-json`. It's like JSON Patch, except it's javascript.

You write your script match like a JSON Patch - use JSONPath to select values to process, each value is sent to a callback, and its result is put back in the JSON document.

This example changes '"format": "datetime"' to '"format": "date-time"' across json document

```
replace('$..format', value => {
if(value === 'datetime')
return 'date-time';
return value
})
```

Today I've released Lapidary 0.12.0 - a python DSL for Web API clients.

This version adds a small paging helper, support for middleware and some bug fixes.

Now we can work with Web API that promises in OpenAPI `Content-Type: application/json; version=2.4.42` but only sends back `application/json` 🤷
