Maybe someone needs some geese this morning?
Here you go!

This is from a week ago. The geese here are more or less gone now. Gone south.
And yes, that’s my dad with his scope.

Been trying to get a decent photo of a rough-legged buzzard. I’ve had a couple of close encounters. But somehow my camera settings have always been completely off.

Took a couple of photos last week when one passed me. Was convinced that all of them would be super blurry so I didn’t even bother looking at them. 👀

One day I would like to work with improving the core of the web.

I have absolutely no idea how to get there.

Met a group of six long-tailed tits two days ago when the sun was out.
I always hear them before I see them. And their sound, the tsirr tsirr, makes me smile.

Proud and fierce!

Good morning!
I’m out. Hoping for hen harrier and rough-legged buzzard.

(They’re always so silent!)

Always double-check the reeds. 🔍

In need of some flying and shouting swans?

Here you go! 🗣️

It’s the weekend!

My best guess is crossbills. But neither parrot crossbill nor red crossbill got white on their wings.
So then two-barred? I’ve never encountered two-barred though. They are very rare. Feels unlikely?

When it comes to size they were a bit smaller than a stock dove. (At least that’s how I remember them.)
They were flapping their wings a lot while flying.

I have some pretty bad images cause of course I remembered my camera when they were almost out if sight. But they got a clear white band on their wings.

Help, I have a bird mystery!

While I was out in the forest today I suddenly heard some birds flying over me. I think they were 4 in total, not flying very close to each other but clearly flying together.
I did record their sound but it’s not the best recording.

Any guesses?

Morning from the forest 👋

Not a crow. 😂

The closest I’ve ever been to a hobby! 😲

At a lake in the middle of a forest. This young one was catching dragonflies, and they were really good at it too!
As soon as they catched one they picked off the wings and devoured the insect, in flight, not stopping.

I went to the homepage of a national institute and pulled the numbers from the research published there.

It was a different number.

They still trusted the overview more.

So what happened yesterday was that a close relative wanted to look up some numbers.

They googled and read the answer from the overview.

I glanced at their screen and pointed out that the overview stated a forum for photographers as source so maybe not that reliable.

They told me that AI gives them a summary of the whole internet so it should be correct.
