reminder for anyone who like me got the email about the needed #playdate update but then forgot about it again: today is the last day to do it via wireless. If you haven't powered it on in a while it might take a few hours to power one (mine showed signs of live after 2 hours)
Also because I have an inner twelve year old I had trouble passing by their book nook options and picked up a Moomin set #bookstodon
My best friend and I decided to take a short trip to the city center this morning to go to the bookstore and one clothing store. Spent hours in the bookstore as one does 😂 she gifted me a bound edition of pride & prejudice as a very late birthday present.
Also apparently today is Manga Day which meant a ton of free first chapters of manga series which I picked up for me and her youngest son. Was a very pleasant surprise

I feel like I am at a 3 on this. The one I am unsure is throwing a book #bookstodon
I‘m working on a row counter for my app and I am wondering if anyone has some input on what is importantly to them for such counters.
I am adding the ability to have it repeat with starting and ending values and having the ability to link them - but anything else? Behind the counter the pattern would be visible with visible marker lines, too. #crochet #knitting
When the pattern basically says just trust me on this… notice how my active yarn is flowing through with the cording. #crochet
Got started on my next crochet project. I’ve been loving the looks of this pattern for ages but never could decide on a yarn. Finally decided and got started yesterday. https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/biscolata
@thegiddystitcher you play Pikmin Bloom right? Can you tell me a bit about it? I am thinking about downloading it for the most silly reasons of all: a special promotional pikmin in an Nintendo event here
Have now made it to the body portion of the top. Opted for short arms. I really like how the gradient looks.

Exclusive news: my iOS app for crochet/knitting patterns with a connection to Ravelry just went live on the App Store. I will do official post about etc starting tomorrow but it is now available to check out: https://apps.apple.com/app/yarn-squirrel/id6758939934
It is called @yarn_squirrel
Hiding nuts is hard work. But very 🥰
#squirrel #SquirrelsOfMastodon #eichhornchen
There are also purely local patterns so you can add Cross Stitch patterns, too - since those are not on ravelry.
I also added a yarn weight calculator so you can see what a weight means in a different system.
Currently the app is english only.
If you are interested in testing, please message me. The final version will be on the app store soon with a free base version and a subscription based full version
The app grew quickly in what it does: you can import your Ravelry library (and go to the pdfs directly), your stashed yarn, your favorites for each of them. and also search for patterns and yarns from it and directly favorite them, too.
I also added a pdf import that tries to extract the names so it can try and match against Ravelry patterns or pre-fill some fields for you even if it can't. you can also update your projects from it.

I just submitted a build of my upcoming Ravelry pattern app for iOS for review so i can onboard a set of testers.
So I am opening this up to 10 people for now - please only apply if you want to try and provide feedback (it is totally okay if you have never done this before).
Preferably people with an active Ravelry account. Features will be in a second threaded post.
So the Switch store is not handling the #silksong release well at all. Erroring hard for me
Saw a beautiful butterfly today. It is called a peacock eye here #nature
Question for the #crochet community. I am working on a small bag for a child and it is worked in rounds with a round end. How hard would it be to add a drawstring to it to pull tight? What would I need to do? Thanks
We finished up Split Fiction on the Switch 2. it is a co-op game that has a very unique spin on what it does. It truly is an impressive game that jumping between sci fi and fantasy and it switches genres every so often. The story also is interesting and appealing. Really recommend it!
