When young people feel watched all the time, there’s less room to make mistakes and grow. 📹 Constant surveillance can turn kids into their own police, and make them police each other, too.

Helen Vogelsong-Donahue and Alexis Durante-Tierney, hosts of Born Digital, discuss this in MASS SURVEILLANCE AND THE LOSS OF FUN on the Future Knowledge #podcast.

Today’s tricky treat: HÄXAN, the 1922 silent film about witchcraft, superstition and the persecution of those accused of practicing it. In this sequence, witches take flight through the night, followed by a gathering of dark rituals. This Swedish-financed Danish production was filmed in Denmark.
