long press and right click need to have better UI indicators
e.g. mouse icon changes when you could right click. The item highlights a certain color when a click starts but a long press does something special
Make UX more discoverable PLEASE

Christian churches are a bit piss, aren't they?
The creator of all. Lover of humanity, each and every single person individually. A world crafted out of that love. And they just hang up some pictures of one guy getting murdered for telling everyone to be nice to each other
What a narrow depressing slice of the whole of creation to celebrate
you ever feel jealous of the critters in an aquarium or zoo?
Its like, damn. They get their own little customized homes, they're people's special interest, free rocks
i wonder how many of you want to ride the luggage wrapping machine
So @junklight reminded me of something from a youtube video
Apparently some people REMEMBER becoming conscious. Like, they remember this moment in their lives when their minds kind of turned on, they became self aware or aware of the self and weren't just sort of response machines anymore. I struggle to define it because I never had this, I was always self aware AFIK
but does anyone else remember a moment of change? I've heard it more than once so its not just one person on YT
I'm sure nobody will notice or mind the loss of precision if we saved spreadsheets using DCT based lossy compression

I have been made aware that not everyone knows about the Giant Cube
Gaze into a ceiling corner and observe that it is not denting in but popping out at you. You are now experiencing Giant Cube
enjoy responsibly!
here have another one
On the firefox debugger if I hover a variable it pops open the details of that variable. Cool, so far so good. If I try to bring my mouse into that detail area to explore it but I move A BIT too slow? Loses focus. I have to JERK my mouse down to see it. Useless, SO useless. I do FPS gaming and CAD for fun, this has gone from CAD to FPS and that is really REALLY bad. No UI should require me to move that fast
Nor wait for it, though. Make speed not be a factor!
here, here, here is a good example. I want to scroll one of the advanced interface mastodon columns using the keyboard. How do I do that?
Well I need to focus that column! How do I know if I am focused on it? I don't.
if I click on a post it opens that post. Don't want that, it focuses the post. Click the scroll bar? Does not focus the column and the page up and down keys do nothing.
I have to find interstitial space and click THAT in order to focus the column. No indication it happened
gods and it doesn't help that these said same people want to remove all affordances
swipe to open the menu, long tap to bring up the options, scream in rage to reveal the scroll bar. Every single pixel is intractable and there is no way to know where the limits of that interaction are, and if you miss something different happens
Not to mention that on phones it just LIES to you. Animation starts... AH just kidding! The tap was a lie. Try again!
and I'm dead serious too. People who think things need constant redesigns are a problem. An adult needs to tell them "that's nice but that sort of change isn't really necessary"
I really wish that people who require constant novelty would STOP BEING COMPUTER TOUCHERS
find a new fix. Take up traffic dodging or get into experimental maze design, I don't care, just stop applying your particular set of deranged skills to the things I am trying to use to get things done
I use my computer to accomplish things NOT to experience the masochistic pleasures of needing to re-learn where to even look to complete those tasks
You have a problem, stop making it MY problem
