Today I learned that my understanding of tmux is backwards. It is not a client that connects to a server, it is a client that can run ON a server, and that is how sessions persist.

Grateful to the good humour of the people at work that explained this to me, and also the individual who spoke up to admit they had the same incorrect notion as I did.

I can't put into enough words what a difference a healthy work environment makes to my day.

Frustrated having to delete cloud saves from #GOGcom because they're enforcing some arbitrary 200MB limit per game.

I used to be happy keeping saves myself, it was them overselling Galaxy that meant I stopped paying attention to local file management for the benefits of the cloud.

Lesson learned, don't bother with Galaxy and stick to staying offline with my #DRMFree games

Irony that the 2 games over the limit are Cyberpunk and Witcher 3. Losing Cyberpunk saves is no issue at all.

And the audacity of Mac Jones to suggest a comparison with him this year and Tua last year... the gulf between them has never been close in his favour.

Just to add, these aren't the only features I use, they're the features I had to switch clients.

Not sure I can ever understand the devs of the main Mastodon app (not itself one of the two I used!) explicitly saying they won't add text sizing because they use relative sizing so can rely on the device to scale it. Truly ignorant.

I used to use two Fediverse clients because neither had all the functionality I wanted.
* adjustable text size
* add notes to accounts
* image alt text indicator
* access to post translation

But for over a week I've been using Fedilab @apps via @fdroidorg and it's the only one I need.

Did some mental maths and decided I should book my next (8th) covid vaccine jab. Jumped through the hoops to confirm yes, I am still legit, and have an appointment within days. Although I now have to drive out of town to get it because my own GP isn't doing it anymore.

Very quicky (minutes) followed by an email inviting me to book my vaccine.

Coincidence? Their system "remembered" me after I already booked it?

Re- #introduction - I joined mastodon.social Feb 02, 2017, and have delighted in the fediverse since.
